Need Advice

Went to Sussman Acura
2010 TL SH-AWD Tech , with $5,000 trade in
$35,659.77 Out the door.

Went to Davis Acura
Said they will match the price can't beat it.
The salesman tried pushing the standard TL with the 18" wheels tech package.

with $5,000 trade in ~ $33,249 out the door

He told me the black on black awd was hard to locate in this area. He also said the standard one gets better gas mileage.

So.... is there really a major difference ? It seems everyone is purchasing the AWD model..
Thanks

I'm assuming the deal, if you were buying WITHOUT trade in, is as follows:

SHAWD tech for 40659
Tech with 18 for 38249

Given the above case, those prices don't look very good to me. I think you should be able to get another 2k off on both given the deals I'm seeing in Austin and Houston, TX.

The SHAWD version should get slightly less MPG but of course its highly dependent on how you drive. Personally, I would have gotten the AWD version if I had a bigger budget.

Good Luck!

i hate going to the dealership these days, i told the guy i was paying all cash on a 2010 SH-AWD

and all he took off was $500 , it was just insulting, he made a total for $44,982 with the $500 off included

i put a deposite down and the next day called and told him i wanted to cancle it

now im looking into getting a 08 bmw m3 DCT with 14 k miles for 48k flat

just saying,

but keep on them bro i think u think u can get a better deal

Wasn't sure if you were talking Canada with those prices. You can definately do better. You should be around mid $37s for the SHAWD auto before your trade. Either they are doing you right on the price and fudging your trade price to make you feel good, or just not giving you the right deal. Ask them to spell it out specifically; sell price and trade (unless you already have that). As far as a stick goes, the difference in mpg is marginal and only you know if you want to drive a stick or not.

Scratch my last post, you have the right numbers on the AWD. Not sure about the trade, but you know better there.

Get the AWD... Price is very good. As for your trade you know what its worth to you. Who are you working with at Davis? Rob by any chance?

The guy from Davis is named Joe... Nice guy..I originally went to Sussman but everyone has negative things to say about him.

Also they don't have the awd blk on blk in stock.. he said 12wks to order it, or he can prob get it from another lot possibly 50 miles away.. I hope they flatbed it in..

They won't flatbed it in I know that for sure. If Sussman has the blk on blk and the price is right go with them. Either way you'll be happy. The awd is a bit gas hungry btw but its sooooo fun to drive... I still kinda miss my Type S tho.

My dealer in Maryland is giving me quotes of $37,300. Don't know if you want to take the trip down to MD to save $500.00

Seems like a very good deal especially since you are talking OTD. Remember, the manufacturer cash to dealer incentive ends 3/31/10. Not sure if the incentive will be continued in April. Definitely get the sh-awd.

IMO, it's not worth the drive for $500 for two reasons.
1. Do You Really want to deal with paying the tax and having to register the car in state yourself?
2. You want a local dealer to take the car to for service, or at least warranty. The dealers do give preferential treatment to those who buy their cars. They may tell you differently, but they are just being polite.
That $500 may end up costing you more in the end.

I totally agree with these points. I also wouldn't doubt that there would be additional paperwork fees for the MD dealer to do all the stuff for PA.

That seems to me to be a decent price. IMHO.

At that price, I would buy from whichever dealer impressed me the most and I would be prepared for the next steps as they try to add paint protection and accessories, and extended warranties. :-)

I'm not saying these things are useless, but you should be prepared for a slightly higher price if you find other things that you would want to add.

Personally, I added a 125K warranty, the front underbody spoiler, mud guards, and (later) the midnight chrome parts.

Personally, I also prefer the 6-6 to the 5AT.
