How to reset Handsfreelink system?
How to reset Handsfreelink system?
First of all, just wanna say it's good to be here. First time Acura owner and it's been my favorite ride by a long shot.
I recently upgraded the stock sound system including the head unit. I didnt bother with the additional steering wheel control wire. Since I've put in my aftermarket radio, the dashboard keeps displaying "pair", and the handsfreelink is trying to connect to my phone via Bluetooth. I had my battery disconnected for a total of about 20 minutes while doing a little wiring, but it didn't forget about my phone.
So my question is, is there a way to reset the handsfreelink system without having to reinstall the stock head unit?

I actually eventually came across the Bluetooth module behind the dash and just unplugged it. Completely solved the "pair" on the display issue.
I replaced the stock unit with my Alpine CDE-172BT (best single-din I've ever had). For the door speakers I'm running a set of Skar FX-65's, NPX65's in the rear deck, decent Pioneer tweeters, and dual 12" Rockford Fosgate P-1 subs. Everything is amped of course. I will installing an eq in the front dash soon.
For a stock system, it definitely beat out every car's stock setup I'd previously owned, but I'm a bit of an audiophile. The stock door and deck speakers just didn't produce enough high and lows. They seemed to be very tight in the mids. The sub wasn't nearly enough to match up to the new speakers I was installing either.
