HandsFreeLink Lock--Don't have passcode

I am trying to setup the HandsFreeLink to work with my new Bluetooth phone. I guess the dealership setup a passcode on the car because it says that it is locked and I need to enter the 4-digit passcode. How do I reset this if I do not know it? Thanks.

Are you referring to the 4-digit PIN used for pairing? This is something you select and then enter into the phone. If the dealership paired your car with another phone you can just create a different pairing. Check out the instructions in the manual or go to Acura's Owner Link:
http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/Operati...dsfreelink.asp
They have instructions on pairing lots of different model phones.
HTH,
Peter

I don't think it is...

Thanks for your reply. I don't believe so. The first thing the system asks for is a passcode because the system is locked. Today is the first time I tried using the system as I just purchased a bluetooth phone today.

Try 1234 maybe or 0000. If these do not work you can try disconnecting the battery for a little while to reset the whole system. You will have to re-enter all of you radio codes again, though. If you are not sure the procedure for this, I'm sure someone here can help you. If you take it to the dealer to be fixed, I'm sure they would do the same thing.

It looks like someone (maybe the dealer, as a precaution) has accidently screwed you over on this. There is a HFL security option to password protect certain functions. You will probably need to take it back to the dealer to get the passcode. Pulling the battery might fix it, but I sure would hope not.
