Hazard & Passenger Srs Indicator Switch replacement tips

I need to replace the Hazard & Passenger Srs Indicator Switch Assembly in my wife's 2012 TL. Does anyone have tips on how to remove the center dash/vents to get at the switch? Seems like the wrong approach could easily do damage.

Anyone find an easy way to remove these, or the right tools? I searched Acuras tools and I can't see how they are supposed to work.

It's just plastic pry tools to help get trim out:

IIRC, I had to take the hazard switch out first then pry the center vent out to get behind the dash. The vents are in there pretty tight, but the switch is fairly easy to pry out.

Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for the tips. I just got a new set of interior trim tools from Amazon. They come with the small metal radio removal tools. How exactly did you go about removing the hazard switch and the center vent? When I read that diagram, it looks like I'm supposed to stick the tool in between the vent blades, and I'm not sure how that could work. Also, there isnt much room to access the hazard switch tabs, so Im not sure how to get only it out.

At this point I tried a coat hanger as someone else had done, and it popped one tab in the center vents, but I cant get access to the upper or the side.

The main thing to keep in mind is that vent is nested in there nice and tight against the soft dash. Since you already have some progress, it needs just a little bit more pull to come out. Once it starts to detach, it just slips out once you pass that pull threshold, so a nice yank will help. Try using a pry tool through both sides of the vent with 2 people pulling at the same time. I should have taken the vent out and then switch but I approached it in reverse order with a flathead and slowly worked around the switch until it popped out. This is not the official way and can maybe damage the switch/trim but I got lucky. I did separate the switch cover accidentally but it popped back on. Then i used that hole on the middle to stick my fingers in and yank on it really hard when it finally gave and literally fell out. I felt like there was something else holding it or another way of removing it when it didn't want to come out.
