Grill Suggestions

So I bought a 09 Tl Sh-AWD a few months back, and I'm looking for some advice. I've been thinking of how I can make the grill look better. Does anyone have any suggestions. Also thinking of plastidip on the outside edges of my wheels black along with blacking out my emblems and possible the plastic piece under the trunk, truck piece I'm not sure about. Anyways any suggestions on making things pop a little more. Ive blacked out the emblems on every care Ive owned, along with lights, on this one though I think ill be skipping the lights. Its grey metallic with 5 spoke Acura rim. Also Ive read conflicting info on air filters, all my vehicles before Ive installed some kind of K&N and I was planning on putting the drop in K&N filter because I read that the full system was actually worse than the stock one.

Thanks in advance.

^ Yep... get it color matched.
I would skip on the plastidip as IMO, it makes it look cheap.
Or, wrap it with carbon fiber vinyl. I think it would look nice on a PGM TL

Painting it is your best option, not a big fan of plastidip.
Do a search or take a stroll through the photo gallery see what others have done, sure to find something you like.

please don't plastidip it, for a while I thought the contrast of the different textures would look neat, but it looks so cheap in person

paint or gtfo

I would agree that the full paint match is probably the best option. Me, I don't mind the grill, so while I was going to get it done with some other work, at the last minute I pulled out and left it stock. But I'm the minority.

When I was a younger man, I was interested in a used car on a lot, but we couldn't come to a price. The salesman called me a week later to test the waters, and tell me that the manager was putting decal packages on a bunch of the vehicles, including the one I was looking at. These decals were meant to look like "splashes" of pink paint. Back in the late eighties, this was rather common and even (for about a wweek and a half) trendy.

I like carbon fiber, but I wonder if it will be the pink splashes of 2014.

Most likely.... but at least you have the option of removing it at no cost. Not to mention, the grill will have some sort of a protection from rock chips and the likes.

If you want to make your grille pop alittle more... why not explore option of replacing it with Acura's OEM midnight chrome grille and rear trunk trim piece? I bought mine for a few hundred dollars and installed them myself. I think they look good. The chrome finish basically reflects sky tones so it blends rather well with polished metal metallic paint during sunny (not cloudy) days and at night, the grille turns black.

Ok so seems not a single person likes idea of plastidip lol So just wanna be clear I didn't mean plastidiping the grill plastidip was ment for only the lip of the rim. My only reasoning behind this is idk how well paint will hold up and powder coat isn't really feasible at this point because I don't have a spare set of rims to drive on while someone powdercoats them. So my question is how well do you think paint would hold up on the lip of the rim? Want to do the lip mostly because some jackass at bodyshop chipped one of my rims and it doesnt seem like hes ever going to actually fix it. Thank you guys for all the replies and Nexon, from that picture looks like you do really good work.

Paint will hold up, but not anywhere as well as powder coat.

Also depends on who mounts your tires.

Nexson does great work. He color matched my grill shield, front/rear bumper trim and reflectors on rear bumper. Everything came out perfect.

Nice deep shine with minimal swirls.

I'd be a little concerned with WDP unless it was brand new, since the clearcoat tends to yellow a bit with time. The colours likely wouldn't match exactly without blending adjacent parts.
