I leased a 2012 TL in February 2012. From day one it sounded like something would move foward upon acceleration, and move back upon stopping. The noise comes from directly behind the radio. Now as you drive, when you go over bumps the same area rattles. The car has been back to the dealer 3 times, and they have taken the radio and display screen out and added tons of padding. Finally a dealer rep. from Acura came, and he could'nt find the problem. Now Acura Cient Relations tells me that this noise is common in these cars. Has anyone else had this problem. Also, they state it only is normal in cars without navagation.

 

I don't have experience with this, but don't give up. Keep after them. They will cave. Common problem in a $40K+ car? funny.

 

noise is not common, tell them to show you a TSB to show that.. go and tell them to test drive their 2012 acura loaner vehicles to show that..

dont give up.. keep in mind that if i can get 7 years 120k miles extension warranty for free, im sure you can get that replaced.. you just gotta be a bitch to them and keep demanding.

 

suggestion..you may want to speak to a lawyer who specialize in Lemon law just in case to see what is his suggestion about this. I dont have any rattle on the car that I have but i do hear the HDD spinning sound when the engine is off.

 

I am checking out if this would be covered under NY Lemon Law

 

i wouldnt waist my time trying to play the lemon law card....it isnt going to work

 

Yes it is too much for the rattle but I guess but we never how bad the rattle od is talking about

 

I have a 2012 TL without tech and never heard anything in my dash. Get a loaner and don't give it back until they fix it

 

Yeah, both our TL's are silent.
