2009 TL Pictures? ***NEW PICS ON PAGE 44***

after looking at all of the multi-colored pics above (KPB FTMFW IMO), i can officially say that the 3G looks dated now. kinda like how the 2G TSX makes the 1G TSX look almost boring. ah well...

Compare the design line-up's: TLS vs 2009 TL
The new design definitely looks more bulkier. I think 2009 TL will be even more distinctive on the street. The design trend at this time of all new cars is to make the front aggressive and "fat". Look at the concept cars: they all have that "fat" front.

definitely a nice tl, it'll be more buly, somewhat looks the new camry. the grill works much better on the tl than the rl and tsx. definately happy that it didn't turn into crap. acura knows this is their best selling car, better not eff up.
as for the grill, i'd mod it even though it grew on me... doesn't look great, but alright

The car had decent HP, but with the lack of big torque, it wasn't THAT much fun to drive... Now, adding more weight, but only a few extra HP, the car is going to be that much less fun...
I guess if you're not buying it to be thrown back in the seat, its going to be as awesome ride! Nothing beats Acura's interior quality... NOTHING.
Although my stock STI had 305 hp, it was MUCH MUCH MUCH faster, than my TL-S even with AEM intake, etc... Again, the lack of torque is what's killing Honda's performance.

Not bad but it doesnt really invoke the feeling " I need to get that!" I think it would look much better without all that fog light mess below. I think they should have just kept it clean and the overall flow of the front would be easier on the eyes. Maybe with A-Spec body kit it will improve the looks

Yeah...I agree it was kind of an apples to oranges comparison
Of course, we all want as much HP in our Acura's as possible, but if it doesn't have it, it doesn't have it! Just dont see why its a huge deal when its competitors don't have huge hp numbers. New Max has 290, and I'm sure that will be plenty. I'm kind of on a horsepower trip myself for my next car, and I KNOW that if I want big hp numbers, I'll have to look elsewhere (looking at 05 S4 and G8 at the moment for my next car in like a year and a half)...but those cars imparticular, while having great drivetrains, and looking great, their insides are a$$ compared to the Acura. Even the audi back then...TL is MUCH better to me. So...
If you want huge hp, buy something else.
If you want something looks great, drives great, great interior, great tech features, then by a TL.
If you want both, buy a 335 which last time I checked, was like 20k more than a TL.

And I am not a 3rd gen owner. I just bought a G35x after considering a 3rd Gen type S. If I had waited, after deeing this pic, I would probably go pick up a Type-S and get a great deal instead of waiting.
But, like they say, to each his own. I love my G35.

Wonder if they'd fit - guessing yes.
Wonder if they'll have Black Chrome/Gun Metal/Ebony option?

wow, i never want to see a pic comparison of the 3G vs the 4G again. It makes the 3G look dated which i know isnt the case.
The 3G is just about the best looking FWD sedan ever and I appreciate it for that. I like the new TL and I think its visual heft is Acura moving towards becoming a Tier 1 luxury brand. Just looking at the two cars together it is easier to imagine a more opulent interior and more presence on the road in the 2009 TL, which is what they are trying to convey. The 3G by comparison looks lithe and lightweight, which while sporty, doesnt have the visual heft or luxurious (i dont think luxurious is the word i am grasping for ) feel of a truely upscale vehicle, such as a mercedes, lexus, or audi.

The nose and tail are just plain strange and look like they belong on a Nissan or Cadillac. The rear of the TSX actually looks good. The rest of the car looks fine though I think the side profile of the 3G is more distinctive.
I don't know what Acura is thinking with these redesigns. They should be designing to compete with Lexus and BMW. Both are conservatively designed. I think a lot of people will be turned off by redesigned RL, TL, TSX, though only time will tell.

Haven't been to the 'zine in a while, but noticed that Acura posted a new shot of the '09 TL, so I thought I'd check in to see what the bretheren (and the ladies ) are saying....
I understand that the front fascia is polarizing, but there's no denying, whether you like it or not, that you noticed it
Personally, I really like the styling direction that Acura is taking.... "With great risk comes great reward... " And I think this will definitely pay off for them. The TSX looks more upmarket than the previous gen, and the same thing goes for the RL and this future TL.
Sure Acura doesn't offer the 300+ hp like the competition, but their cars offer more luxury with a great quality ride for less $ and that is something the others can't really say. Add to that the great ergonomics of Honda/Acura interiors and their track record for reliability and you've got a winning combination
Just my

Have you ever seen a "modern" promotional picture that wasn't "air brushed" and/or Photoshopped?
I agree they were a little heavy-handed with this one, but .... .

I like it. I was pretty skeptical at first but once seeing this in person, I'm sure it will turn heads. Especially once the grill is personally modded. Even leaving the grill alone makes this car look pretty good! The rims are indeed sick.

Acura is making a dsg in the 09 wOOT>! And that was a bit photoshopped it wont really look that good i really saw the car. And trust me the car is pretty huge. And with only 300hp this 4,000pound car wont be getting any were.
