'10 purchase poll

2010 SH-AWD with Tech. 16k mi. $35k. Grigio on grey. One owner.
2010 SH-AWD with Adv. 9k mi. $35k. Mayan on Umber. One owner.

Love the Mayan paint. Umber gives it a unique look. Good combo.

Opinions?

Seems overpriced. I bought my 09 in April 2010 - AWD/tech/weather mats/new tires with 6k on the odometer for 35ish. It was a demo, and CPO included in that price (which is transferrable) - for the 5/100 warranty.

I would go with the mayan on umber advance.

Over priced i don't believe so. I can say though everywhere is different. Because i have a base model 2011 i bought in 2010 i had to pay full price and i shopped 2009's & 2010's and couldn't even get a base model for less than 33 at that time which is what drove me to just get the 2011.

Now i am seeing fully loaded for around 35 at dealers and i think that is only because they have the 2012's out they are now awaiting 2013's and they will probably need room for the newer acura's everyone will be anticipating.

As far as the OP i will say look a couple more places to compare prices but i personally don't think that's a bad price for a fully loaded TL with Advance package with miles that low.

^^^I'd agree, if they throw in the warranty. I'm guessing it's carmax or something? Any Acura dealership would CPO those cars with that mileage in a heartbeat.

First the Mayan/Umber is not available in an Advance in 2010... Maybe a SH-AWD Tech, Manual or HPT?

Very partial to the Mayan/Umber combo this is my third color combo on this vehicle... Had a 2009, 2010 and now the very limited availability combo color in the 2012 SH-AWD Advance...

https://acurazine.com/forums/4g-tl-2009-2014-123/2012-tl-sh-awd-advance-mayan-bronze-umber-finally-home-833095/

I would lean towards the Mayan/Umber it is just a beautiful color once it is detailed... the color is just so unique...

Good luck to you...
Hope this helps...

You're right.I see he said that they aren't cpo but i would still try to get them to extend the warranty. Close to 10K means somebody was driving it. I've even seen dealers give extended on cars with 6K.

Now if those cars are at non acura dealers then yes they are overpriced.

The more important question is why neither is CPO? What is wrong with the cars that caused them to not pass the inspection? Or is there another factor that made the dealer(s) decide not to offer them as CPO.

In my opinion that is a red flag, especially since they have such low mileage.

With that said, I feel they are overpriced as well (granted different regions have different prices). I bought a CPO with tech/19"HPT and 9k miles for $35k. It's a 6MT so that may have lowered the price a bit though.

To answer your original question, you have to decide what is more important...a more rare and potentially head turning color combo or a better stereo and navigation?

Good luck!

Car max is why the cars aren't CPO. The TL base I currently have is from Car Max. Having buyers remorse with base model. I want the 2012 for 6 sp trans, front and rear changes, ect. My mistake about Mayan w/ adv pkg. It's tech. I can't wait until Im finally happy with my car. This is so frustrating. As far as price, that is close to NADA list.

Gotcha, didn't even think about the possibility that the dealer wasn't an Acura dealer.

I'd go with the Mayan / Umber combo...one of the best out there IMO. The only one I'd like more is CBP / Umber.

Considering people (including me) have bought new 2012 SH-AWD Tech for $38K, I would just put in the little bit extra and get a new if they don't budge on the pricing. The 6-spd and updated styling would make it more than worth it to me. YMMV, of course. And CarMax don't budge much, if at all. I also think you can get better used deals from other dealers if you can negotiate.

dcarp757,

If you are willing to travel to DC area give Omar a call at Pohanka Acura and see what he can do on a 2012 TL SH-AWD Tech. It might be worth the few extra bucks to get a new one with full 4/50,000 warranty as Sarge said above... Tell him his friend Brian from PA referred you for some incredible deals... I send alot of people his way including folks from PA. It is a heavy couple hour drive from Hampton Roads (used to live in Newport News) but you will have the whole deal done over the phone before you get there... Including trade if you have one... Let me know how it turns out...

+1 i did the same thing but i also didn't have as many options when i got mines as you do now. There were no deals even 09 base model's were still going for 32K so i just bought a brand new 11 base model in 2010 where if i would've waited a year "NOW" i could get a fully loaded TL 2010 for what i paid for my current car last year.

you are right i have seen 2012's now with miles as low as 6K sh-awd with tech going for 38K so it does make sense . I have even seen 2 2010 ZDX's with tech CPO for 37K mileage 10K & 13K

There are deals out there now but you just have to shop around.
