I am about to pull the trigger on these but do not want to roll any fenders ...the size I want is 18 x 7.5..has anyone tried this size yet? I will also be putting on h& R sport wheels as well...will I have any rubbing issues with a 18 x 7.5 on 225/ 40/ 18 tires/ wheel combo?

18x8.75 would be a lot better in either the +20 or +33

thanks.. which sticks out less with H&R sport springs +33 or +20...new to all this and have read most of the posts but head is spinning. I do not want to do anything to my fenders and do a lot of driving and I need my tires to last

Factory wheels are +45 so the +33 would sit closer to where the factory wheels sit. +20 is just about flush with the fender

What did you do with your old set of wheels? Happen to still have them?

They were picked up about an hour after I got them switched.

my tire shop told me not to go with 225, in fact, "stay away"..

I think I am going with 235/40/18. There are a ton of pot holes in the city where I live.

Why is 225 stretch so popular here?

Which tire shop?

And 225 is popular because you can go lower with it and avoid rubbing after modifying your fenders. Not much of a stretch though

Love the lime green brake calipers. The contrast with the black rims is SICK!

I think my favorite color combos are that and Teal with the black rims. If it wasent so expensive to Powder coat my calipers I would have definitly done the same.

Let's just say a local shop in Etobicoke, across from a popular bakery.

With 235/40/18 I cannot go much lower in the future? I am stock riding right now.

Stock tires are 17x8 with 235/45. The new wheels will be wider than stock, and 225 would be narrower than stock.

I am about to make my purchase.. so confused on what I wanna go with

Yup! Just get a scuff pad and suff them up, no sand paper, 1 can of high temp paint, 1 high temp clear gloss paint and Brembo decals and your set!

225 tires are spec'd to go on a tire 9" wide or less. They have a mild stretch when put on the 8.75" xxrs. I had 235 tires on my +20 wheels and I rubbed on the front driver side on road dips...at only about 1.5" lowered (which is not much by lowering standards) and all four fenders rolled. I just changed them out to 225 tires and no rubbing. Bout to drop another .25 to .50" this weekend.

Just save yourself the hassle and get 225 tires

thanks for the information sockr1, I didn't know that and I most likely will be going for 225/40 now.

what's a good value tire? I am looking at Falken 453 or 452s, but I would consider other brands but don't know what else is good and cheapish. I am worried about paying for brand new tires that slip on wet roads and/or make a lot of noise.
