TPMS question

I may have 1 or 2 sensors that went bad when repairing the 2 tires, that is probably why my TPMS is not working properly. If I bought 2 sensors from TireRack, will those 2 work along the other 2 OEM sensors? Thanks in advance

Think about it. The receiver is tuned to one frequency. It determines the location by placement of wheel. As long as new sensors are correct frequency they should work. How well not sure as I only have experience with OEM units.

Yeah I just called Tire Rack to confirm, and they said it should work fine.

I got 6 when I just purchased RDX wheels. They don't work for my 04 so I'm selling them here if you are interested.

"A02's" will not work on the '08 TL Type-S. He needs "A04's."

Also, before purchasing other TPMS, I'd break the wheel open and check them again.

If you HAVE to buy new TPMS, I'd go OEM.

ollie, your sensors will only fit RDX MDX TSX. TL takes a different style (TRW).

Tire Rack TPMS are cheaper, but if all fails, I can always return them. After all they did confirm it will work with OEM.

I am changing my tires at America's Tire, and they said on their web (cost $8 for each tire):

When replacing tires on a TPMS equipped vehicle, it is recommended to replace the components of the sensor that are susceptible to wear and corrosion from the elements. Our TPMS Rebuild Kits contain all the necessary components for replacement.

What exactly are they talking about? They are not changing the sensor itself, right? Should I decline this option?

i just got new tires and didnt replace any of my tpms's...i dont see what kind of wear they can be getting as they are protected....

on another note, how accurate is the tpms...i have a track guage and it reads 3 lbs lower then the tpms does, i am more incline to believe my guage over the tpms..

When I measure mine at a local gas station, there's usually about 2-3 PSI variations, which is pretty acceptable.
