Tein SS

So I finally bought suspension after years of owning my car. Its a 2005 TL with stock rims. I'm just wondering whats the most I can drop without any rubbing, bottom out, easily go up most drive ways with 3 or 4 people in the car? I don't need to have my car slammed, just reduce the 4x4 look. I'll have the Super Streets next week. Thanks for the help !!

Also what kinda setting are people running on the dampers with the SS for a comfy ride with improved handling?? I read some people have 8 in the front and 10 in the back

There are too many factors here:

Wheel size
Tire size
Offset
Fender work
Drop height

So I am doing the same thing. I was gonna do springs but I think I can raise and lower with coil overs as I please or when I go on road trips. I'm on stock 17s with 15mm spears in the front and 20mm in rear. I'm flush with the car and will get rims later(couple months or in a yr).

Which coil overs would u recommend. Tein/ bc.....I don't wanna spend to much. Jus want to lower a lil, maybe 1.5f/1.3r or something like that, then back to stock height when I go on road trips. So which coils will allow me stock height or at least close to it

2008 Acura Tl CBP

Or should I screw it and get springs but I'ma use stock shocks and I have 30k miles on them.

^its really up to you and ur driving style/habits.. if you feel you will WANT to adjust height later on or want a stiffer ride, coils would be the best option.. If you won't care about raising/lowering in the future and just want ~1.5 inch drop and not worry about it again, go springs.

and jeff, you wont have to worry about rubbing with stock wheels.. theyre too sunken in under the fender and won't rub unless you slam ~2.5"...then you'll have other issues to worry about rather than rubbing.

my suggestion: just install it and adjust height till you have no wheel gap, and if you feel you want to go higher/lower depending on if you can make it up driveways or not, adjust accordingly. It won't be a "set it and forget it" deal.... i guarantee you'll adjust a few times before you get the look you want.

just get it installed and play around with it

I'm aware of that post^

Toe eats more than camber. As long as your toe is 0 you will be fine. The fact that you're running -3 camber your tires will still eat from the inside no matter what.

what were you runnning for tire pressure? and what did the fronts look like? im curious just because your camber angle in the front, first measurements, is significantly larger than the rears.

edit: and what tires were you running? stocks? rubber compound might have something to do with the significant wear

its weird man, my front is okay, no sign of bad camber wear. Just the rears were chewed up..

The tires in the picture are the stock oem 17in 5 spokes. 245/45/17 Bridgestone RE906AS pole positions. I ran then at 33-34psi

that is weird. im gonna leave mine how it is for now, check it everyother day or so for signs of bad wear. i wonder why your fronts didnt wear but rears did. think it could be your driving style? pulling the rear end through corners possibly?

i have my front camber at 0 but my rear is at a - 4 degrees .. ive looked at the tires every day since then and have seen zero signs of eneven ware ... im aware that naturally the insides will wear more but i dont think its such a significant amount to be worried about
