Tein S Tech vs H&R race springs!
First of all, yes I did research before posting. Okay on to the questions, I want to hear it from the people that actually HAVE these springs. How do they ride? any noises? bounciness? etc. And if I could please see some close up pics of the wheelgap, if any. Because ive seen pics of TL's with both of them but no close ups. TIA

I've had S-Techs for three years with no problems. A bit stiffer than stock but barely noticeable.

I have h&r race springs also. I believe it's the one of the lowest drops you can get without going coilovers. I've had them over 2 years on my car and they ride pretty stiff but I'm use to them. When the road is smooth I love the buttoned down firm stable ride they give. Potholes and bumps will make you cringe lol, but overall I like them and no noises whatsoever.

I was never too fond of the ride on my S Techs, bumps were just not a fun experience. However, I loved the drop on them.
My Tein Street Advance on the other hand, even set near firm, ride amazingly well. I never thought I would splurge on coilovers, but I gotta say, I really love them now that I have them.

Yes would love to know as well I've been on the fence about tein sa coilover and springs that actually have a comfortable ride and not too stiff so this should help me a lil better. Def keep us posted

IVe had teins on a few of my other cars, and loved them to death. I should be ordering S-Techs soon enough also. I really want a comfy ride, but I love the drop of the H&R Race.
Does anyone have two pics of maybe two different cars, but with the same wheel set up, one running an s tech, and one on h&r's? Id love to see a side by side comparison of a side shot. I know wheels/tires come in to major play with how it sits.

I would really like to ride in both. I have read people that have the H&R race springs that say they're not bad, and some say they are very stiff. Unfortunetly, I wont be able to ride in both to do a test comparison, so Im gonna have to go with what I read only. I will be ordering the tein s-techs in the not so distant future.

Thanks dood! I've been meaning to post those pictures in here for a while now. Here are some more comparison shots:
SSM:
H&R Race
18x8 A-Specs
235/40/18
15mm spacers front, 20mm spacers rear
WDP:
TEIN S-Tech
18x8.5 A-Specs
235/40/18
15mm spacers, 20mm rear
I talked to GeeteeDan, owner of the SSM, about his springs. He loves the drop but he said the ride is bone jarring. I wish the S-Techs went lower but the ride is great.

HOLY Sh!t
I finished installing my Teins S tech. Yesterday I did the rear and ride
felt the same although rear is not a big drop, but today I finished the
front and it dropped a lot. surprisingly feels the same as stock.
Had these on my old 3 series and they felt ok. On the TL they are
amazing. I went into all sorts of bumps today in horrible NYC streets
and it was a great ride no need to slow down like most drop cars do.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM if you wanna keep the luxury feel of the TL.

+1 on stech really comfy ride and have a decent drop.I'm really lovin how it rides specially on speed bumps but I might consider gettin the SA in a yr just so I can drop it more.As for oem shocks compatibility their both compatible but the life of the oem shocks on h&r race won't be that long compare to having them on stech.hope that helps...

I also have the Stech on stock shocks on my TL with 19s, rides great and feels like stock. I would recommend getting rear cambers, after installing the Stech I had camber wear. But now I want to drop it a little lower so in the future I am going to get coilovers.
