Spring Install

Im about to install my comptech springs myself but wanted if anyone could help me out with the removal of the back seat. Maybe step by steps if someone has them listed or prior experience.

Your help is greatly appreciated...

I didn't buy any special tools....

Note, even with instructions and advice from others on the forum, it took me about 45 minutes to find the two top screws:

Pull the headrests.
At the top of the seat, in the direct senter where the passengers sit, there are overlapping flaps of leather. You will find one bolt here on each side for a total of two. The headrests have to be removed to get to them. Good luck.

This TL suspension was identical to my old Honda in front, but different as far as the rear suspension.

A 3" or 4" extension for your rachet is much easier to use than the 2" that comes with most sets for getting the bolts at the top and the lower one that holds seat in.

I have done some searches and for the most part I see the popular thing to do is the bolt extension. Also called a good friend of mine and he concurred on this...

The 28th Saturday morning weather permitting. My 19s will go on with Comptechs springs. I promise to take digi pics of the before and after.

You guys like always have been a great help.

Some pics of rear seat removal

Remove rear seat cushion, by removing seat cushion bolt (one, black finish) and pull seat hook knobs to release (pushing down on the seat cushion made it easier to pull the hook knobs. No pics.

Two Upper Bolts, loosen with 10mm socket

Two Lower Bolts, remove with 10mm socket after seat cushion removal.

Pic of Upper bolt after rear seat-back removed.

No pic of third lower bolt (brass finish) by left seat belt bolt.

Torque wrench with 14mm socket will fit to remove two flange nuts, no need to remove rear shelf.
