Rim offset question....

I bent one of my rims and need to order another one. I have 20x8.5 Niche Venice rims and I'm not sure of the offset. When I called to order another rim they said that they have the rim and it's a 34mm offset and that was the only one they had. Does anyone know if that's the correct offset for an '05 TL w/navi? Or how can you tell what the offset is?

the 34mm offset rim will fit an '05 tl but u don't know whether it's the same as the other rims. most of the time the offset and size is printed on the inside of the rim barrel so you can either look around with a flashlight or take 1 rim off and see if it's printed or on a sticker inside.

When I went to get my car serviced last week I asked if they could look at the inside of the rim to see if it did say anything about the offset and they said it only said 20x8.5 on the inside of the rim.

You can just measure it if you have the rim off. Measure from what to what? Take a look here:

The rim is still on the car. It's not bent to where I can't drive it but I still want to get it fixed.

If 34mm is the only one they offer it is probably the correct size.

You might try getting the rim repaired. I had two bent Volk GT-C's that were repaired at a place named the Wheel Doctor. Did a great job and much cheaper than buying a new rim. I wanna say $160.00 for each rim to repair.

I tried that also but the guy said it was bent to much on that one spot of the rim. I'll try and take a pic tonight so you can see how it looks.
