Progress RSB Noise?

Hello AZine,

Search has been applied. Primiarly came up with which setting is softer, threads of sub-frame has been broken, and install(DIY)'s.

My description and questions:
I just installed the Progress RSB on the softer setting yesterday. Today I noticed noise coming from the rear as I take off from a stop. It sounds as if a clunking? Should I be concerned, as I am pretty worried? What should I do?

Any helpful info will be greatly appreciated.

-Kevin

look at your install compared to the DIY instructions provided and on here

May have an end link not tight or broken or the bar isnt sitting in correct place and rubs
Look for shiny spot

Find a welding / fabricating shop. The mounts for the rear sway bar and severely under-engineered. They break. The dealer wanted to replace the entire rear sub-frame on my car. F*** That.

Weld the broken ones back on and have it reinforced.

So, after talking to my co-worker about the issue and reading Yonkers post... seems like
a key element was missed.

Progress/HeelToeAuto did not include the Polyurethane Grease. Not sure if it's suppose to be included or purchased separately.

I guess I will give that a shot and see what happens. But he said it should sound like crackling or creaking. Pretty sure it sounded like clunking but I'll have to listen again on the way home.

heeltoe is just a seller- the parts come direct from the maker and dont usually include the grease
Ck the instructions- if it calls for it- take the bar apart and do it right- $1 packs at parts stores

There is tremendous force on the bushings as the bar twists

Also really look for shiny spots where the bar is near anything that moves- thats rub from thunks
Hows the clearance from rear fender edge to tire sidewall under load?

ck the `end links` for the sway bar- if you used stock ones they suck
MOOG brand is quality and good price
A must to do the job really right

99.8% of the time, if you have a clunking noise, it is the endlinks. even thought they may seem tight, they could actually be loose. OEM endlinks are a POS and the slightest play in the will ive you noise. my suggestion...tighten them down really good
