Progress RSB on 04 5at

I bought a progress RSB recently and it's being shipped. I HAVE google this already but didn't really find an answer. Do I "need" to get end links? I can get some Moog endlinks before the bar gets here. Will stocks be fine or should I upgrade. Car has 133k miles on stock bar. Pros and cons?

It's actually an 06, if there's even a difference

110k on my car when I put the Progress RSB in. I'm using BC coils and lowered about 1.5~2in. I used the stock endlinks and have the bar set on the softer setting. No issues.

You should consider replacing those end links at the same time, preferably with OEM's as the Moogs will require regular greasing. I got 5 years out of mine and have replaced them twice. Also, you might want to check the brackets that the end links connect to. I have the CT-Engineering sway bar (22 mm) and those brackets got torn to shreds at age 10 due to the increased strain a thicker sway bar puts on them.

Hope this helps.

Definitely helps. Will look into getting OEM replacements. As for the brackets, are they difficult to replace? I can look into getting new ones if they are an easy swap like the endlinks. (Don't know if I'll have the car for another 5-10 years however since that's when your brackets started getting destroyed. They also could already be in bad shape anyways)

Sorry, just thought I'd show the potential effects of using an aftermarket rear bar that is stronger than OEM w/o taking action to beef up the mounts.
Any standard end link is fine, but might want to look into the adjustable end links.

What makes adjustable better?

Being adjustable, one can change the length of the links to make the bar tension to your liking/driving habits.

That's not the purpose of the adjustable end links on a sway bar for a street car. They are there to ensure when sitting still the sway bar / anti roll bar / stab bar has no load on it or in a neutral state with the car resting at it's natural ride height.

Yes you can add pre load to it but that's for race car applications that mostly go round and round.
