So I noticed theres an option to add a 25mm HT-Spec sway bar... But im not sure if I've ever heard anything about that from you. Whats the deal with that?

heres how much shorter it looks compared to the stock shock with TSX eibach sportline. first i thought, "wtF its three-four inches shorter than my current setup and i have zero gap at the moment, these are going to be LOW... TOO LOW". but it worked out ok, i guess the spring on the f2 coilovers are alot stiffer than my eibach/stock setup.
my only complaint, not really a complain but a suggestion, is that the red sleeve should be an inch or two longer, for those whose dont want it slammed. because i have it at zero gap right now and its only threaded on 1 3/4". i would not go any higher than that.
with only the front installed my impression is that you can tell its stiffer than the eibach/stock shocks. which i dont mind at all. i was not as low with the other setup but i would rub on dips. with the f2 it dont rub at all because of the stiffer setup.
ill be finishing it up on tuesday...

I agree the sleeves should be made taller, but mrheeltoe said it'll be ok with only threading it on at 3/4" and the drop should leave about a 1 finger gap or so (with 235/45/17 tires)
I'm waiting for my buddy to get back from san fran to help me w/ the install

FYI, THE MINIMUM needed threads the lower bracket needs to be threaded on is 1/2"! You have quite a bit more height available.

Let a customer drive my TSX today...his words..."I am amazed how nice this rides. You'd never know it was this comfortable based on the drop." I am lowered to about 1/2 finger gap front and rear.

Mine go in tomorrow!!!
I think it's safe to say you can pretty much drop the car on its nads with these... I plan to go flush with the fender... Maybe a small finger gap.

Hey Marcus,
I've been following your posts on all the various subjects relating to our TL's and always find you a pretty knowledgeable and helpful guy. That's why I'm inclined to trust your opinion on this type of stuff since I can't realistically go out and try these coilovers vs tein ss.
I was real close to getting some SS coilovers but you might have changed my mind. I'm just wondering if you could clarify a couple things for me:
1) you said earlier that the difference between these and Tein SS would be a bit less "refinement." I don't really know what you meant by that. Would I be able to notice a difference in quality and ride control (I like the idea of having a lot of options in terms of height and firmness).
2) I see on the item page on your website you mention that these F2 coilovers will be compatible with a future wireless dampening controller. I assume this will be about the same as EDFC (which is what I was looking into getting with Teins). Do you have any details on the quality of this setup vs EDFC (I'm thinking not since its not out yet) or maybe when it'll be released.
I'm really interested in getting some nice coilovers for my car and am saving up
. Thanks for any info!

Hi! Both kits are great. Let's see if we can narrow it down at all.
The HT-Spec dampers are going to have a better range in height than the SS, especially if you want it in the lower range. The dampers in the Tein kit are more refined in how they control the body movement of the car, but it is sort-of a thin line between the two. The HT-Spec kit is very smooth and controlled as well. The HT-Specs are designed to fit as many needs as possible across the TL driver's spectrum including bang for the buck and ease of installation. The Teins might have a tad more damping refinement, but what they gain there is not worth the cost to many, since unless you are a more discerning and experienced driver you might not even be able to tell the difference.
The kit F2 has is SIMILAR to the EDFC, but not the same. The F2 unit is mostly wireless (MUCH better than running wires all over the place as with the Tein kit). Also it supposedly has 5 memory settings for the ride versus 3 on the EDFC.
We have not had an opportunity to test it yet, but F2 has and it seems like it has been working flawlessly for years for them.
