get the alignment done right a way or you can wait tomorrow. really doesnt matter within 1 day. alignment is really easy to adjust so make room for it today or tomorrow. btw how does a spec sport suspension feel? something comparable to driving a nsx? turn and cornering .. u get the idea...

I haven't installed it yet!! Waiting for my wheels to before I have the install done!! From what I have read it is stiffer with a slight drop (0.5" to 1") but not drastic!! I will let you know!!

get the alignment as soon as possible.
you're changing the geometry of the suspension, even if its a slight drop.

its safer and cheaper to get an alignment, than to have irregular tire wear.

ASAP. had my aspec suspension installed (DIY) on a saturday, didn't drive on sunday (really had no where to go), and aligned on monday at the dealer (which they did an excellent job of numbers are practically 0 for all the toes...they even went as far as taping my rims so they wouldn't scratch them!!).

always align after suspension changes. with such a subtle drop, no need to wait, unless you really like buying tires.

you're gonna feel a night and day difference between the stock suspension and the aspec. performancewise...loving it!! it is stiffer, but cornering and turns...have fun!!! i know i am.

my drop was maybe 3/4" to maybe almost an inch, but it is subtle. its quite stealthy. like others have said the visual difference to the untrained eye will only be if you are next to a stock TL, but for those of us in the know...we'll be able to tell.

I waited a week and 200 miles to allow it to settle .. if your only going less than an inch you won't wear anything unless you travel 1000 miles lol ..

no....this is a big fail. a TL will never feel the same as driving an nsx...they are completely different category of cars. an nsx will leave a tl in the dust on the track...

you're comparing a 4 door family luxury sedan to a purpose built sports car thats made to rival porsches? lol

I waited about a week myself post install.
The springs do take a little bit of time to settle.

You'll love the ability to throw the car around in the corners and its a lot more stable at higher speeds as well.

Especially when you gotta pull a maneuver within a limited window you'll know the car will be able to handle the quick changes.

Really need to get some summer times in order to tell, as I am currently running winters. (damn Canadian winters)

i've read other threads on this topic. some have waited, others have done the alignment right away or same day with aspec, without problems down the road.

my dealer says no need to wait, do the alignment ASAP.

my observation with this suspension, it really hasn't "settled" that much more since after the first 120 miles and 24 hrs on the car. i can see if you had a bigger drop, then yeah let it settle at most a week. with aspec, my before alignment numbers were completely off and the car didn't handle very well b/c of it. now that its in perfect spec, i may now enjoy the car.

a skilled tech manning the alignment machine with the machine calibrated correctly ==> great alignment that you hopefully won't have to touch unless you smack a pothole. big box places terrify me as you really don't know how often they are calibrating their alignment rack (i've had a bad alignment from one of these places-the numbers on the print out say its in spec, but months later the tire wear says otherwise). never again will i go to a big box place. the dealer calibrates their rack daily if not every few days depending on how many they do in a day, then again i trust my dealer.

its your car, so whether its a week, same day, or a couple of days, its up to you.

did you guys have a rear camber kit installed for the aspec kit, I was recommended by the tech to get the camber kit.

its recommended cause tehres no camber adjustment for the rear... so having it would help keep camber and toe within specs

I have it w/ my megan coils

no need for camber kit for aspec suspension. my alignment (camber and toe are all in perfect spec). camber kit would probably only be warranted if you have a bigger drop, say maybe greater than 1.5-2 inches. there are threads out there regarding camber kits and when it would be needed.

i've only had mine for about 1.5 months/maybe 1500 miles, no problems so far post alignment.

You would be very surprised what a TL with a few small mods will do to cars like the C6 Vettes and M3s around a short course.

With that said, I would definitely take it out and drive it for at least a few minutes, hitting bumps to get it to proper height. After a few minutes, it's going to be 90% at it's permanent height.
