Help me decide please!

I have a 2006 Acura tl currently dropped on tien s tec springs and tokico shocks. I'm deciding between getting Varrstoen 1.1.2. Or xxr 521 and function and form coilovers. I'm not satisfied with the drop I currently have I wanna go lower. So please help me decide what should I do.

Option 1:
Stick with the tien s tech and buy the Varrstoen 1.1.2 19x9.5+12 square or....

Option 2:
Buy xxr 521 18x8.5+25 f. 18x10+25 r and function and form coilovers.

Thanks for any help

option number 2. Don't you have a thread like once a week asking about wheel/suspension set up? Or is that someone else I am thinking off.

Yeah I just saw them. They look nice. Kinda look like the tenzo M, but I think 18" is too small. Those should be 19" if they make a 19" I'll go for it.

I guess ill be the oddball.. Id pick option 1 because i like those wheels better. U can save up and get coilovers later. Who knows, maybe there might be a price drop in coilovers within the next few months

Yeah that's tru but I can always sell my current set up of springs/shocks. And later on buy the Varrstoen if I can sell them.

I just ordered the function and form coilovers for 04-08 tl for $595, is that a good price. Does it matter that my car is 6speed? Or is it the same thing for auto and manual cars? Also is there a DIY or a thread that teaches you how to lower and raise your car with coilovers?

I'll be selling my tein springs and tokico shocks in the black market next week. Just a heads up for anyone that's interested. They have less than 1,000 miles on them.

My cousin paid $584 shipped with Marcus's group buy going on right now. He just got them yesterday. if you ordered the 04-08 kit it will fit with no mods and extra parts

I think this video will demonstrate how to lower your FF :

yeah, if only he made it a sticky in the 3rd gen section. His thread is piled up like 2-3 pages in the 3rd gen section, under the main topics and suspension i believe, so it was kind of hard to find. In the end, sall good.. at least you got coilovers now

Why, what's wrong with F&F ? I know they aren't as great as Megan's and tein ss. But they get the job done right?

^^^ no they are great the only reason i said is if your on a budget then $600-ish Tein Basics can do the same job for you....

Else i ready great review about XLR8's new ISC coilover....and its ~1000....
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-tires-wheels-suspension-97/excelerate-performance-announces-new-xlr8-suspension-838339/

So depends on your budget.....

I have the Tein Basics for ~80K miles and cudnt have been happier

I'm getting my coilovers installed this weekend and I have a couple questions.

1. Do I need to get an alignment everytime I change the height of the car? I'm getting an alignment right after the install. But during winter my car will be sitting high. And come summer time I'm lowering it. So I would need to align it again summer time?

2. Do I need to take my wheels off to lower it?

3. How do you measure the height so they're all even?

4. Last but not least those guys who slam there cars how do you remove the jack after ? I have one of those hydraulic jacks.

If your a Diy guy then I think its faster to swap out you coils with your stock suspension then effing around with ride on your coil now I'm sure people will say that defeats the purpose of having coils but they won't argue that it isn't faster also ask the people at the meet a few of them are suspension guy

I have a low profile jack and it always get stuck under the front rubber protector thingie....and am not slammed.....but i would assume bringing her down 3/4 of the way and then using the oem jack on the side, make sure the jack has gotten hold of the car, take the hydraulic jack off all the way and then take the oem jack down....
