These wheels are hot....I was torn between these and 522....I chose 522 only because they came 19"......be prepared to fender roll and stretch if u are lowered

I like the 522s on your ride, quite nice. If the 527s give me too many problems I am going to run with the 522s instead.

I was thinking about the 522's also originally but I didn't like how the spokes stick out past the rims.

This is a bad suggestion - you should only cut and grind fenders that cant be rolled without buckling - for instance my m3 rear had to be cut and grinded and this is a very tedious job making sure the grind or cutting tool doesnt pop out and scratch your paint, and that you dont overheat your fender and wrinkle your paint. And when your done you have to paint and add structural adhesive to prevent corrosion.

Once you cut you cant roll or pull- If you roll you can come back later if you need more room and Pull the fender out for even more clearance and you never have to worry about oxidation and rusting

Yes, I thought about cutting too and heard from someone more knowledgeable that if you cut it takes out ALL the structural integrity of the fender and it'll be like tin foil.

ONLY roll your fenders. Serious.

^ not gonna roll at the moment, not enough balls to do it myself and not enough money to pay a shop to do it. Look in my Axis Shine thread about my wheel fitment. I like it the way it is and no fender rolling.

wasn't directing at you specifically...just replying in general!

the rolling thing...if you don't have to, even better. BUT, having now done it, trust me, fenders are a lot more robust than you think...you hit them with some heat and then roll with the baseball bat or a hammer handle...it goes pretty easily.

Since we are somewhat on this topic, I recently put on my stockies and my car was lowered to fit the 18's I had on. The stockies are wider and tires beefier and I attempted to enter a driveway that has a pretty deep trench before it and the wheel caught my fenders and pulled them out. I used a screw driver to push the section back in and I noticed there was a little paint crack but is it only on the underside of the fender. My question is, will the crack spread onto the exterior of the fender? If so, is there something I can put on there to prevent that?

^^ you will be all set the crack wont travel on its on but it may crack more if you try to roll your fenders now- I would buy a touch up pen and just go over the crack spot to seal it up.

I wrote up a quick DIY to fender rolling in this section in case anyone needs to refer to it.

If you are just looking at poke up in the air you are doing it wrong. When you lower the car on tires adn all, it looks different.

jack up the car, bolt on the wheel. put a floor jack under the lower control arm and jack the wheel up to see how the wheel and clearance will look. there's mad camber when you're lowered so it'll help the wheel clear the fender.

you knew beforehand that it sticks out 35mm vs. stock right? ...almost an inch and a half.

looking forward to see how this looks.

yea these will camber in nicely. Pretty flush with the fenders. And these clear the brembo brakes
