Fit Discussion for the XXR-527 Folks (Going agressive, might fail HARD)
I know I'm not the only one eying this wheel, my pre-order has been in for about 6 weeks, and I know others are sure to be jumping the bandwagon as well...so let's talk about it and try to help one another out!
Well, I pulled the trigger and changed my wheel order of XXR-527 from 18x8.75 et35 to et20 so I can take full well advantage of the concave design of the wheel.
I am going to be performing a mild drop, 1.5", on a 235/40-18 tire. I don't want to significantly sacrifice ride comfort, so the tire size is almost a moot point, unless anyone can convince me otherwise. I'll drop as much as the roll allows, my HT-Spec Type IIs are resting in the garage.
We've got some serious work to do on the fenders, I reckon.
So who else is with me?

I myself ordered as welll 18x8.75 et 35 all around but I think I want to go more aggresive. I think I still have time to edit my order.
Will the 18x8.75 et 20 fit the fronts without rubbing?

...the et20 sticks us out an additional 9mm from his setup, or about 1/3", which means we're either flush, or just a few mils poke.
215 or 225 would be just fine, I believe. I want 235.
Where'd you order from?

The closest thing I can find is Italiano's setup, which is running 18x9.5 et38, 235/40-18...he's pretty low, and from everything I can eyeball, he's just BARLEY missing a rub...

I went with chromium black.

I have an estimated ship date for end of April so in a few weeks. When I spoke to the rep, he said no matter when you order they will be 6 wks out since they are so high in demand. Persons who ordered a long time ago already got theirs.

Do it!
Powdercoated wheels ftw. I just got mine back and I love them. I'm running +25 in the rear with a 245/40/18 and I'm pretty damn close to rubbing, probably a finger width. That's after having the rear fenders rolled as well. Good luck and I look forward to seeing what color you get the wheels done

bforbrian tan te37 orange 18x9.5 +22 offset. And he was flush with slight poke. So your wheels would be more sunken in, about 8mm more sunken in if my math is right. He is also slammed. he did run stretched tire but I don't think that you need to run as stretched of a tire as he did.

Damn DM you really got me thinking now... But I think 18x8.75 +20 Front and 18x9.75 +20 Rear would be slightly better fitment....
Mind if I ask how much shipping was?

That setup would be effing SICK, but I personally need to keep the sizes the same so I can rotate the wheels.

BforBrian's thread tells me that 18x9.5 +22 is flush in the rear, so I would be looking at about 5mm of poke if my math is correct. I think with a 235/40 I could get away with just agressive rolling.

18x8.75 +20 is about 34 mm further out from the hub than stock wheels & 7mm in from flush
18x8.75 +35 is about 19 mm further out from the hub than stock wheels & 22mm in from flush
(if my calculations are correct and using 92mm fron the hub as 'flush' - taken from a 9.5 in wide wheel at +22 being considered flush)
I guess if you were really concerned about fitment you could go +35 front and +20 rear and use a spacer in the front if they are too far in, and your rears would look more concave.

OK I redid my math, lets see if this makes more sense:
Fronts: 84mm from the hub is flush
18x8.75 +20 would be 1mm of poke (negligable)
18x8.75 +35 would be 14mm sunk in
Rear: 92mm from the hub is flush
18x8.75 +20 would be 7mm sunk in
18x8.75 +35 would be 22mm sunk in
18x9.75 +20 would be 5mm of poke
hope this helps
