^ ibuki if you are going to leave the suspension stock and not try to push out the wheels using spacers then go with a 235/35/19 and a 265/30/19 out back.

^ Phantom 0235 front will need a 225-/35/19 and even then you will need to run extra negative camber and pull fenders...

rear is the same set up as mine i am running a 265/30 rear tire with -4 camber and i cut away all extra inner fender lip... just clears fender by a credit card thickness now.

if you get these rims and put them on it will look silly without a drop so please make sure a drop happens right away... also go with coilovers so you can get the stance perfect.... with springs it might or might not work out right.

Thanks Murphy for the insight. I going to keep the suspension stock. If I decide to go lower I probably go with coilovers so I can adjust it. With those tires I shouldn't worry about any rubbing or having to roll the fenders for wheel clearance I hope.

Thanks bro. I am going to be dropping on coils. So if im doing all of this negative camber that means i will going through tires pretty quick right?

^ my rears last decently long with camber but fronts go faster since its a fwd car.... if u dont want to worry about tires too much id go with a more conservative offset for the rims

would the 18X8.5 Work VSXX 245/40/18 fit or would it be better for a 235/40/18. What offset would you recommend? Thanks,

I expect to get around 25K miles out of my rear tires with a -4 camber... fronts probably around 15K miles maybe more

offsets all depend on widths of the rims too so there is no one single answer to help you out just depends on what look u want

rears would be pretty darn flush... not much poke but flush... need to roll fenders for sure and run a 235 width tire

if you want to be conservative and dont plan on lowering id probably stick with a +35 - +30 offset range.... just make sure you get the A disk up front so it clears the brembos.

also you can run a 245 if you like should look good

^ they make different disk meaning more or less how much of a lip the rim will have ... the A disk or standard disk typically will clear our BBK but the lip of the rim will be smaller.... the O disk or Deep Rim Disk usually maximizes the space and give the rim a bigger lip but in turn will not clear the brembos up front...

my car i am running a 9.5" wide rim with an A disk to clear the brembos and an 10.5" wide rim with an O disk out back so i have a large rear lip on my rim.

^ if you go with that spec up front you are going to need to pull fenders depending on how low you go.... im not sure how i feel about a 215 on a 9.75" rim... im running a 225 on a 9.5" and wouldnt go any smaller.

rear you should be fine with that you mentioned just roll rear fenders...

either way ur car wont ride like stock after you lower it and run higher tire pressure in stretched tires

Ahh, so since I do have the Brembo calipers up front I need to request the A Spec up front and the O Spec in the back? Will that work even though I am going 8.5 all around and not going staggered?

Will 18x10 +25 clear the Type-S brakes? If not, you think a 3mm spacer will help them clear?

Murph,

If i want to lower it in the future, what offset would you recommend for the VSXX 18X8.5 all around? I know I want to put the 235/40/18's...

Lol you might have forgotten. I was te one with similar specs to you. I currently own 19x9.5 +19 and rear 19x10.5 +29. Looking at the pic of Your car the back wheel has a lot of negative camber. Do i have to do that?

Everything looks fine to me except you should run a 40 series side wall not 45

yea if you want the rear as low as mine then yes you need the camber for the rims to tuck into the wheel well and just barely clear! if you keep the car a lil higher then you can run less camber since you wont be tucking rim over bumps like i am.

the front is the tricky part its almost 3/8" more aggressive then my set up and i rub when turning over a bump but once again its because i am pretty low! if you raise it up you might be fine or just a lil rubbing after you roll fenders

Looking to put 18x9.5 35 offset enkei raijin on front and back. If front wont fit i will stagger with 18x8.5 35 offset. Gonna lower on bc coilovers 2.5 to 3 in. Do you know if this will clear bbk? I know the rims just came out.

2005 acura tl 6mt

I don't think the 9.5 et35 will work, 9mm less clearance (inside) and 29mm extended (outside). Depending on the tire you choose.

Murph, correct me if I'm wrong. The type of wheel also makes a huge difference right? Example, two different wheels 8.5 et35, one might and one might not work depending on the design.

I'm looking at the Enkei Raijins as well. I'm probably shooting for the 8.5 et35 or 38 because I don't feel like rolling the fenders but at the same time pull the wheel out to the fender as much as possible.

Tks for the input saip15. My tire will be a 235-40-18. You can see the comparison of 18x9.5 +15 and 18x8.5 +38. The wheels look like doo doo without the concaveness. Good luck finding any photos of this wheel. Murph please chime in if i should get 18x9.5 +15 or 35. Once again I have an 05 TL 6MT lowering on bc coilovers 2.5 - 3 in and gonna pull and roll fenders. Unless they make the raijin in 18x8.5 with concaveness i will be sticking with the 18x9.5.

damn you think it would be easier to just sell the wheels and get some less aggressive ones?
