Lets try this again!!!
08 Base TL auto.. looking at a set of Niche Euro's w/ a tein SS...deciding weather to do 20x8.5 or 19x8.5 w/ the 2" drop from the teins. Need the offset for everything to be fitted correctly with the drop so no rubbing or stress is put on the car! PM the response please.

I'm actually liking the less concave. Thanks for the pics.

Unless they make the raijin in 18x8.5 with concaveness i will be sticking with the 18x9.5.

How big of a tire can I fit on the back with no moding with these specs? 265/35/18? or is 245/40/18 about the biggest?

Questions on Wheels
Wheel Make/Model:
Wheel Size (**X**): 18x9.5
Wheel Offset (+**): 40
If lowered (amount): 1.8 I guess- h&r sports and konis on bottom perch.

Questions on Tires
Tire Make/Model:
Width/Sidewall-Diameter (***/**-**):265/35-18
If lowered (amount): 1.8 I think

yea i am not sure if they will or will not you can ask the manufacturer and see what they say..

Murph, correct me if I'm wrong. The type of wheel also makes a huge difference right? Example, two different wheels 8.5 et35, one might and one might not work depending on the design.

I'm looking at the Enkei Raijins as well. I'm probably shooting for the 8.5 et35 or 38 because I don't feel like rolling the fenders but at the same time pull the wheel out to the fender as much as possible.

you are correct each rim does have a different design and no one can say positively that all rims with a certain width and offset will clear the brembos it all depends on design

if you do want concave obviously the wider set up is best and will give you a more concave look.... a +15 up front is very aggressive on a TL and you deffinately need to run no larger than a 225 width tire.... id say its best to run the +35 offset and hope that a smaller spacer can help make them clear the brembos.

it just depends on what kind of work you want to put in to make them work and if you want to deal with rubbing and faster tire wear/replacement?

you need to figure out what offsets they offer and then ask... i have no clue what they offer as far as available offsets

do a +30 front and a +25 rear if you want to be more flush.... then run a 225/40 front tire and a 235/40 rear tire... if you dont want to roll rears go with the +38 offset and you can run a 265/40 and be fine

^ i would think so.... i used to run a 19"x9.5" +40 rear and a 265/30/19 tire and it had plenty of room left and no rolled fenders

Murph, should the 8.5 et35 work? I know it will be tight. Might just go the extra 3mm to the 38.

^ if you do a 8.5" +35 it will be fine or a +38 the 3mm wont make that much of a noticeable difference thats like 1/8"

sounds good, that's what I thought. I read through a couple threads on here where people got the +35 and bought 3mm spacers to fit the Brembos. But it all depends on the wheel. Thanks

the front is the tricky part its almost 3/8" more aggressive then my set up and i rub when turning over a bump but once again its because i am pretty low! if you raise it up you might be fine or just a lil rubbing after you roll fenders
Thanks again bro, you've helped me a lot. Just to go over this with you, If I dont go that low in the back, lets say little less than a finger between tire and fender, then i could potentially run little to no camber? Same goes for the fronts, if i dont go that low then will I stay clear of rubbing issues? Just in case you forgot my wheel sizes lol= front 19" x 9.5" +19 offset (3" lip)
Rear 19" x 10.5" +29 offset (3.5" lip). Thanks again

if you do not slam your car then yes you can run a more normal or within specs camber but you would need to get a front and rear camber kit since the TL's are non adjustable camber.

what rim brand are they again??

the front being a 19"x9.5" +19 is basically 3/8" more aggressive than my current set up. I am pretty low basically when tire is turned to maximum up front the tire just passes by my fender so when turning over a dip my fronts rub... if you are not as low as me you will still need to run a 225/35/19 in my opinion and yes they will stick out just a tad bit more than the rears... rears will be exactly plush with outter fender so you will still need to roll regardless

Thanks bro. The wheels are volk sf-winnings. After doing some some research i found a member on her, -Mig-, and he was rocking the same wheels, he had the exact same setup up front and 19x10.5 +17 in the back. You might have seen the car. The car gave me a good idea of how the fronts are going to look. Lol now that we have gotten the wheels out of the way, whats the best tire sizes for me? Also im planning on lowering the car before i put on the wheels, so how would i figure out how much camber to do. Or should i just wait and do camber and wheels at the same time?

^ well you cant run anything wider than a 225 up front and im running a 265/30 out back but i shaved off all my fender on the inside but you could also run a 255/30 out back

once you lower the car do the camber kit install at the same time then take it to get aligned save you some alignment trips.... then while there it just depends on how low you are and if it will rub or not.... you can tell the guys to set your rear camber at a certain degree like -2.5 and see how that goes..

^ if you dont want to roll fenders then option 2 works best for the rear.... but option 1 will look sooooo much more on FIRE!!!

rolling fenders is no biggie man and is worth the look

^ first pick out some rims that fit your budget then see what widths and offsets they offer then come back.... its all subjective in the rim department

i believe these should fit but my question is how much drop should i do and what tire size should i get to make the stance of the car like this with this much poke an wheel stretch. and would this sacrifice too much ride comfort? link to the picture below.. i saw it on another thread. and i know its not a 3g TL but still would like this fitment/look with the xxr 530's give me your inputs

with that set up and offset you wont need to do any fender work and you could run wider tires if you would like or you could throw some 15mm spacers all around and make it look more flush

front would be the toughest part but still do able you would need to run a 225 minumum width tire all around and if you want to be low then you need to add extra camber to the front and roll fenders!

Hello all, fitment question.

Questions on Wheels
Wheel Make/Model: Konig Ligero
Wheel Size (**X**): 18"
Wheel Offset (+**): +40
If lowered (amount): Stock height

07 TL Base, stock size now is 235/45/17. Girlfriends car and I do not want to worsen ride or have too thin sidewall.

Tire size recommendations if these rims will fit. Thanks!

Questions on Wheels
Wheel Make/Model: Rota Torque
Wheel Size: 18x9.5
Wheel Offset: +35
Tires 245/40/18
Lowered: Stock Height or possibly lowered with just 1-1.5 springs

Just wondering if there will be any rubbing at all with or without lowering at all.... Thanks

I have kind of a general question. I'm looking at wheels in a 18x8 size, with an offset of +30, and running a 235/40/18 tire size. I'll be on the A-Spec suspension and I'm concerned about rubbing. I don't want to do anything with my fenders either.

Is the general rule of thumb that the amount of drop you have impacts the potential for hitting the fenders more than the offset of the wheel, or do I have this backwards?
