I am new here and my husband and I just bought a 2004 TL which is White Diamond. We are currently looking for rims for the car and we are arguing about what finish to get. I want chrome but he thinks that sivler or polished will look better on the white car. I want to stay away from the "fast and furious" look if you know what I mean and I love chrome. We are looking at the Axis Mod 7 with the "maxis" lip in the back. They are sweet but I want them in chrome and he likes the silver finish. Tell me what you think about putting chrome on a pearl white car. Thanks

 

I think chrome looks HOT on a while car. The good news is with the Axis 7, you get the best of both worlds. The inside is silver for your husband and the lip is very shinny for you. Good luck. I have Chrome Advan Model 5's on my SSM.

i think polished or chrome will both look good.

 

I have never been a fan of bling-bling but that looks good.

 

Thanks for your info. Last week we ordered the Axis mod 7 in chrome and they should be in at the end of next week. I will post a pic as soon as we get them on. I am not a fan of big bling bling either but I really want to stay away from the fast and furious look. Thanks

 

I think Chrome looks better on the 2nd Gen TL. The 04 cars style doesn't make these wheels look right on the car....as if the styling wasen't complete.

 

You'd get alot more visible scratches in Chrome. Go silver

 

I would say go silver, chrome is kinda played out. I have a white TL-p and I wwas going through the same thing(not knowing what to get) but I said silver with a nice chrome or polished lip would look nice on a white car, even polished with a chrome lip is sexy.

 

Looks like a decision's been made..i personally like chrome wheels only if you have a dark color car....ho wmuch u pay for the axis?
