Before installing shocks

i have 120k on the TL and i am doing a new suspension....should i replace the tophats or will the originals ones be okay to use again?

I'd wait until they are apart and inspect the assemblies to make certain the bellows/dust cover, rubber seats, bushings are all good and if so just transfer them over.

well what if i do that and then they look ruff and i need new ones then ill be stuck......i could always buy em and return em just to be safe

What if you buy the top hats and need dust covers, spring seats or any rubber parts? I guess you'll be stuck.

on heeltoe is just list type s bushings which sounds good since it says its better ride quality but is there base bushings i can purchase as well?

Type S bushings are solid, Base are not.

I can't see the need to replace the top hat unless you damaged it or stripped a stud.

Heeltoe just sends you factory parts. I purchased the full set from Marcus when I bought my Tein SS's.

Type S solid bushings are better which is why they offer them only (I'm assuming); however, the fitment for the Type-S and the Base are the same for the top hat bushing.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

You're completely right. Get the type-s bushings. They will make a small impact but an impact none the less.
