ASPEC drop issue

Guys,

I recently lowered my car on just the ASPEC springs, got em off a member. The rear sits lower than the front and the front really doesn't look like it lowered at all? I know I put the springs in correctly, the car rides and handles good, but it looks a lil funky. Has anyone else had this problem??? Anyway to resolve it??

did you get AT springs, because the AT springs are meant for the heavier AT front end. Mine sits higher in the front, but it would probably make that difference even more noticeable on a MT.

Yea I believe it was a AT, the guys said it wouldn't be a problem when I bought them, but it is now...the rear looks good, can I order 2 springs for the front from somewhere to fix the issue??

uhh how long has it been? why dont you just wait for the springs to settle and see how much a difference there really is?

AT springs on a 6MT will not work. They are meant for a car that is 150# heavier on the front end. Even with the correct kit a lot of people complain the rear sags slightly. I used the 6MT kit on my AT and it works perfect.

You need to get the right kit. Those springs are not going to settle. Your other option is to bolt 150# of lead on the front bumper.

springs

They have been installed for a little over a month now. The car drives fine, the rake of the car doesn't look right cuse it sits higher in the front then in the rear slightly. Does anyone know if you can just buy the 6MT springs?? Or should I just go with a pair of the comptech springs?? Ahh this suxs I really don't want to rip out the rear springs again, that suckeddddddd

I don't think they sell springs separately. I looked when I bought my kit because I wanted to use Koni Yellows instead of the Acura shocks.

The rears are exactly the same so you could buy the 6MT kit, swap out the fronts, and then sell what you have left on eBay.

Comptech Yeah!

What if you look for a Comptech set and just install the front springs. Comptech are cheap!

springs

Don't you think that would be a bad idea to put just comptech springs in the front and aspec ones in the rear?? They are two different vendors and spring rates? It would prob give it a good rake though! Any suggestions?

u really should install an entire set of matched springs so that your car handles safely when you push it. if i were u, i'd get stoked up and face that fact that u need to do the entire install again. by the way, the install should be a lot faster the second time around!

I have the ASPEC AUTO's also, and I own a 6 Speed. Worth installing? Does the front REALLY sag? or is higher?

Just spend the money for springs? I have the A spec on my tl (6mt) and it sits a lil high but not excessive. you could find another 2 front or just buy a whole set of lowering springs and mount them on the aspec shocks.

Not worth installing unless you want your front to be higher than the rear.
