Thinking of purchasing some Sevas S55. But I'm leary because I've seen a few forums with bad reviews on Sevas.

Rims look real good and the price is decent. Just want to make sure its not to good to be true

Yes... I've had Sevas S55 wheels for over a year and never had a problem... then I sold them and that person used them for 8 Months with NO issues... then he sold them and that person rolled around for 4 months before selling them to a fourth owner... This set of wheels was all driven in NYC aka POTHOLE CENTRAL...

I think Sevas had a bad batch of S22 and S7... I never saw anyone having a problem with the S55...

the S22 was the biggest problem of their line-up. The rim would crack and then shatter at any given time. A TL'er here had their rim crack, but he noticed it before it shattered. the NTSB has an ongoing investigation with Sevas.

I am running on Sevas S-55's for almost 2yrs now with no probs!!!! Knock on wood!! I agree with Rodney as most of the probs were S22's and S7's.

The problem lied mainly in their s22 wheel, but they have since changed factories and cleaned up any issues. I had my 1 pc sevas for a yr with no issues and now I have their forged series!

sevas are getting CHEAP, b/c of the rumored problems.... s55 are good.. the S22 is the real dangerous one

I've had the Sevas S-Stars for about 1.5 years with no problems. I did hit a pretty big pothole and bent one of the rims and the only issue was the fact that no one wanted to sell me one Sevas wheel because I was told they would only be ordered in a set. So that sucked...

The happy ending to my story, though, is that a lady hit my car while parked and damaged one of my wheels. I told her insurance that these are custom wheels that can only be bought as a set. So...they bought me a brand new set of 4 Sevas wheels, I swapped the bent rim for one of the new ones and ta-da, all good again WITH Sevas wheels as my spares. Basically, I bought my Sevas and got a second set free.

I ordered the S7'sv from wheelexecutives, however I got a call from them saying they were out of stock. They offered a full refund or the S55's and a 75 dollar refund for the inconvenience. I took the S55's. I got the first rim in today through DHL and I must say its a very good looking rim. Not sure if I wanna keep them chrome or get the face painted WDP

On the real, I think the white lip with chrome or silver would look gangster. But also All chrome S55's are nice too. If it was me, I would rock the chrome (breaks girls necks), and then if you want, get them painted
