4 Bent rims?
hey guys, i need help/advice. i Live in NYC and i bought my 05 TL 6speed in the middle of june 09' i brought the car back to the dealer for a supension wobble and find that i have 4 bent rims. they said I bent all 4 rims in about less that 2 months!!!!!! so my questions is, does anyone else have a similar story? are the stock rims really that crappy? i kno enkie makes them, and my friend had a lexus is300(bent the rims too). guess who makes the rims for the lexus is300? thats right, enkie.....
i love the look of the stock wheels and maybe considering buying type s wheels. but before i go buy another set of stock wheels and bend those too, does anyone have a suggestion as to what i should do? aside from dodge potholes. lol. thanks for the help everyone.

The car may have had a couple of bent rims on the back which you didn't detect when driving, then you bent the front wheels.
Many threads on the subject, but yes the wheels aren't the strongest, but the newer wheels ('06/'08) have been improved to withstand more, or a heavier impact without bending. In all the years I've been driving, I bent one steel wheel when I slid on ice and hit a curb, but in the TL, two have gone in one shot. Coming out of the sun into the darkness of an overpass, I struck a pothole with the right side, bent both wheels.
Good luck with the city streets.
