Wiring Issues using Butt Connectors...

Well my navigation was recently stolen so I've been working at replacing it. The theives didn't disconnect the wires they cut them off so I'm stripping them one by one and attaching butt Connectors.

Anyways all is done but I've come to a dead end... There are many coax cables. And these coax cables and 2-4 individual wires within them as well. Is insulation a key factor for these what is my best method of restoring these wires? Here is a couple images of my problem...

I've thought of twisting the coaxial parts of the wire together and using heat wraps on the other wires that came along with it. Then wrapping the whole thing with aluminum foil and electrical taping it?

Is there a more professional approach at this?

solder the wire. Then put two layers of shrink wrap tube where the outside one is longer than the inside one which will help prevent moister. I dun think there's a need for aluminum foil.

the ETM says to use splice connectors, then use non -flamable material to insulate, then shrinkwrap the the entire thing. there is a terminal replacement kit that you can buy with new pins, connectors and proper items. Go to your local dealer to see if you can buy one.

Well I just got done attempting to simple solder and insulate it with aluminum tape. Everything works except the image won't display on my LCD. It just lights on. No image nothing. The radio will play CD's althought AM/FM don't function at all either. So I'm guessing I'll need a terminal kit... I called the dealer they said I need a "NEW DASH HARNESS"

That's 450$ and not to mention.... alot of work...
