are the window "seals" suppose to act as a squeegee
I have an '08 TL type S and i found out tht when i roll down the window on a raining day the water doesn't seems to "Slide" down or like doesn't get "squeegeed" out like other cars i've seen..
the window just goes down with the water and come back up with all the water so if it was snow... i don't know hwat would happen
do you guys experience this? is this just the TL or mine??
Thanks in advance

wax the outside of your windows with any brand Carnuba car wax and the problem will be gone
The seals prevent wind noise
They are not for wiping the window

My TL's weatherstripping does not squeegee water off the windows when they are raised/lowered. That is the same as with other cars for the past 20 years-- I don't remember any of them having weatherstripping/felt that would clear a window.

Hmm, that's odd. I agree with the OP. Most cars I've owned you can roll the window down, then back up to wipe it.
Particularly useful on cool mornings when there's a layer of dew/mist on on the windows. Cleans 'em right up so you can see without having to wipe them off by hand. Doesn't matter much for us on the TL though since it's garaged.

If still concerned look at the rubber seal outside the door where window slides
Then go to dealer and look at other cars
While there may be some wiping by the rubber- thats not its intent
rainx, carnuba wax, and some other products will keep the windows water free
