wierd noise from brakes

first off hello my fellow members,
I have a 07 type s with 53 k on it, i just got the car about two weeks ago. this morning as i was driving to work a did one log agressive stop from about 90 mph, a short bit after that, as i was stoping "normal" at the next light i heard a nose coming from what it seemed like the right front wheel. it sounded as if metal was pressing against metal like if my pad was completely done. well i let the car sit about 15 min then i took it for a spin and stopped pretty hard from about 60 mph and nothing no noise at all.. anyone know what might of caused this or anyone have ever similar situation?

I've been having this issue on my 2007 TL-S ever since around 25,000 miles, and now it's about 45,000...

I've been to 5 dealerships, last two weeks they finally fixed but only lasted for 2 weeks, bringing back again...

The annoying noise was getting louder and louder....

have the brakes inspected
Stop doing madman stops until you know whats wrong

the TL brakes dont like long drawn out stops- use them to slow the car quickly- not race car quick-- but normal person can stay in the seat.
especially brembo fronts need to be used or get ridges and glaze that makes noise

let a pro look at them if you dont know how but get that ckd asap

Oh yeah, I love posts like this. Curious, how old are you, 17? 18?

Basically, you said you were going 90 MPH and then decided to slam on your brakes. They started to make a noise after this so you decided to slam on your brakes once again. Ever heard of the Darwin theory?

Wear indicators? Glazing?

How many miles on the current pads? Take it to a shop and have the brakes inspected. Most shops will do it for free.

And stop being an idiot by driving 90 MPH, please.

Good News,

I got my 07 TL-S at the dealership, and at first the Service Rep wanted me to pay almost US$ 800 to replace rotors and break pads, which I recently did already.

And I've asked if replacing would solve the issue, he couldn't promise, and couldn't make sure it'll actually solve the problem.

So, he asked the Service Manager to talk to me, which at first he also suggested to pay to replace all front rotors and brembo break pads...

And I've asked him the same questions, so he contacted Corporate and Brembo reps, and they agreed to replace all rotors and break pads for free... and see whether the weird noise in the front left side still remains...

If after replacing still remains, then they most probably would replace the calipers.

I still wondering what a long aggressive stop is? from 90 the brembos will haul the car down in short order with even medium brake effort
get on them harder and it really slows down quick!

stay above ABS activation as that does increase actual distance to stop

looking at pad depth from the peep hole is not good enough!
need to remove the pads and inspect for cracks and glazing-rotors for ridges, and that inspection will show if caliper issues are present

OK guys, latest update...

Service Manager confirmed that my Brembo caliper need to be replaced, they weren't working as it supposed to.

Good news, Brembo and Honda Corporate Acura Division is taking full responsibilities of the tab...

Therefore, new pads, new rotors new caliper...

My ride should be ready in next few days

I guess, I'll keep the loaner till then..
