Whining noisy fuel pump?

If I stand by the rear of the car I can hear what sounds like a low sounding whine or high pitched buzzing kind of like a dentist tool. I think its coming from the fuel pump. If so is it normal?

I am having the same issue with my car now. I'm browsing the forums to look for an answer. If I find one I will post it here.

You mean for the power steering hoses right? The issue is from the rear of the car and seems like it's from the fuel pump.

Please do. If you can get an audio or video clip demonstrating the issue i can try to do the same to compare.

Update

I was thinking about using marvel mystery oil in the gas tank to see if may help things. Only thing is would MMO be bad for the cats or oxygen sensors? The company claims it’s not but supposedly it has like about 600-700ppm of phosphorus and it’s part oil.

open your trunk and stick your head in near the rear shelf area, but by the floor. That's where the fuel pump is. Is the noise louder?

It’s definitely the pump. I’ll try to get a recording but I’ve heard people having success with MMO. Just not sure if safe for catalytic converters and sensors.

If the pumps making the noise replace it before it leaves you stuck somewhere
