When should I change my timing belt ??

I'm not sure when I should change my timing belt but it's 7 years old and has 105,000 miles. I don't drive it in extreme conditions and my mid hasn't told me to change it. Please help me! Ihatecars? Nfsquared?? Any thoughts ?? The average temperature where I'm located varies between -21 and 111 degrees Fahrenheit.

I would change it ! On the other hand my car is 05 with 53500 miles on it. Im thinking about it but not sure if i can wait for a little longer. I have not been driving the car much, mostly around town and couple of long trips (about 650miles both ways)

The mods closed the other thread for a reason. Do you really think this is appropriate or that it's going to stay open for another few minutes?

I have almost 125k on my 06 and am thinking about changing mine here shortly. I would not worry about the 105k, that is Honda's recommended change time based on failed timing belts over the years in Honda's. Go with your gut, but I would not worry about going over the 105k. It's always cheaper to change a belt than an engine. The dealer tried to soak me for 1500.00 for the belt and water pump (both are normally changed at the same time), but I bought all the parts for $156.00. Not bad for the dealer 1000% mark up! Crooks!

So you started another thread to voice your opinion one more time after the mods closed the other one? Let it go, geez. No one cares.

It's not only because of him that they closed the thread.

Thanks, I didn't realize that. You're a smart guy.

Well hell, if its ok to just open up another thread when one gets locked because you're not done, I've got a long list of topics to reopen.
