What else to replace with oil pump re-seal?

My oil pump is leaking, about one drop of oil a day. I know it's not bad enough to worry about losing enough oil to be a problem, but it's enough to where I don't want to park in my friends driveway and leave an oil stain And unfortunately for this situation, the timing belt was already replaced so I can't get it fixed at the same time of that job because it was already done. I took it to my dealer and they quoted me about $950 to re-seal the oil pump and replace some o-rings on it. My question is what else should I have replaced while they are in there? I know most of the cost of this job is labor. So if there is some cheap preventive maintenance I can have done at the same time it would be good. I have a feeling there is probably some 10 or 20 dollar seal they could replace at the same time that might be a problem down the road but that is not bad now so they wont replace it...that is what I'm trying to avoid.

In the same boat as you with my '05. Dealer quoted me $1300 and I told them for that amount of money, I can deal with a minor oil leak. Until mine gets bad enough that it starts dripping, I will leave it be.

mine has been leaking for about 2 years now.....never drips. My place wanted $1600 so it was an easy choice to leave it be. Even when I had the timing belt done they only offered a couple hundred $ off.
If you have a timing belt change coming up you might inquire about how much they will discount since both jobs are almost all labor and they are in there anyway. I would wait until it gets really bad (if it ever does) or until timing belt.

As I said in my original post the timing belt was already done, it's not leaking to the point of mechanical concern(about one drop of oil a day), just an annoyance of leaving an oil drop wherever I park for a few hours Kinda sucks because I've owned multiple higher mileage cars that didn't leak oil

Have you ever replace the pcv valve? I would wait for the next TB/WP service if it not dripping.

As I said in my original post, it is leaking, to the tune of maybe one drop of oil a day. Which is why I was kinda thinking about getting it fixed and if there was anything else I should have replaced at the same time.

Sorry for not reading the original post more closely, but paying $950 to fix a drop per day is not something I would do. For that money I would be annoyed for the times that I need to park in someone's driveway...or as suggested, use a piece of cardboard and park where ever you want and keep the grand in your pocket. The oil pump leak is a relatively common issue and again, for me, has not been any issue at all for a couple of years. At 230,000 miles I am not looking to drop a grand for fix a drip. My goal for the past couple of years is to keep my car away from the stealership which always seems to find plenty to fix while checking my car. I have turned to Acurazine to learn how to do most all of my repairs at home.
I wish you luck....

Noticed oil on floor under TL

Hey guys! I need some help. So I noticed oil on the floor under my 06 TL I looked around and it seems like it's coming from the oil pump but not sure. I currently don't have the $ to take it to a dealership so I'm looking for options. Anyone here can help please.
