Weird noise please help

So this morning I went to warm up my car. I put the heater on and went bAck inside. I started hearing this weird whorping sound. So I got out and checked. Every 2 mins my fan was kicking in and it would do this weird sound then after 5 secs it shut off. Is this common?

Sounds like your blower motor is going, or could be the blower motor wheel

The sound is similar too when you buy really noisy tires. And the sound they make while your braking. I hear my fan kick in then that sound is in the back ground for like 3 secs then my fan shuts off and the noise goes away. About 5 mins later fan kicks in again and does the samething .

With the engine not running and cold, try wiggling the fan itself and see if its loose. the bearing and motor may be going bad. the fan should be tight. compare one fan to the other one next to it.

first of, when you warm your car, its the a/c on? note next time u do it.
it could be a bad a/c tensioner or a faulty compressor.
i doubt the fan would do such noise. it'll have to rub on something in order to make that noise. check the fans(engine off)to see if they wobble. keep us updated

No my A/C isn't on. And Its not my fan. It's my compressor. It makes this really loud sound when it turns on. And then it makes that sound. And shuts off. I thought it was my fan but now that I opened the hood and checked, it's not my fan.

internal compressor failure. to be safe, replace the entire unit. better keep your hands off the a/c button before u seize it and contaminate the entire system
