Water Leak

Every time it rains water drips from A pillar inside my 07' TLS, however the driver door seals are intact & not deteriorated at all. It's a steady drip & my son mentioned it probably is a clogged sunroof drain. Would this be a symptom of a clogged drain?

Well my son works at a Ford dealer as a TEch and brought it in, turns out it's not the drain but rather a leak from the upper corner of windshield & I'm annoyed. So much for Acura (honda) quality, I guess the factory tech didn't use enough sealer.

ever have the windshield replaced? Take it to acura to figure out as there may be rust from where the water has entered in.

Same thing with me. Had my windshield replaced and eventually developed a leak due to the adhesive not adhering properly.

The crazy thing is the windshield has never been replaced at all. Its still factory, I find it hard to believe factory installed windshield would leak after 7 years or so. Is this even possible? Why would this start?

I'd imagine that water has been intruding for a number of years and finally rusted a hole to let the water in. Acura should be taking care of this under the rust/perforation warranty.

From the Owner's Manua:

Time and Mileage Period
This warranty’s coverage begins on
the same date as the New Vehicle
Limited Warranty (see page 11), and
continues for 5 years with no mileage
limit. Any body panels repaired or
replaced under this warranty are
covered only for the time remaining
in the original 5 years of coverage.

Warranty Coverage
Acura will repair or replace any
original body panel that rusts
completely through from the inside
out (perforated by corrosion). This
includes panels previously repaired
or replaced under this warranty. Rust
that does not perforate, but is caused
by a defect in material or
workmanship, is covered under the
New Car Limited Warranty. You will
not be charged for any parts,
material, or labor under this
warranty. The decision to repair,
rather than replace, any rusted body
panel will be made by Acura.
This Warranty Does Not Cover:
Surface rust on the underbody or
any other part of the vehicle
except body panels.
Rusting of body panels that were
repaired, replaced, or refinished
after retail sale of the vehicle,
unless those panels were repaired
or replaced under this warranty.
Body panel rust caused by abuse,
misuse, or lack of maintenance.
Rusting where the paint has been
damaged by road hazards such as
stones and debris.

Well I'm out of luck. Dealer told me 4 years/50,000 miles for water intrusion. I'm afraid that when the windshield guy removes it there will be a rusted hole.

Safelite said sorry, we don't just reseal & charge labor, gotta get new windshield for $405. If I do that I'm concerned the new one will not be as thick as the factory one etc. Plus a rust hole present when they do it. I called a body shop I know & waiting for reply.
