VSA Light Turns on and Shuts Down Other Functions

I have an '05 TL with just under 130,000 miles and the VSA/Triangle! lights come on frequently. Seems like that's not uncommon from reading other posts on the forum; however, when the lights come on other stuff happens that I haven't really seen addressed anywhere so I'd love some input.

If I have cruise control engaged, it kicks off and I cannot reset it. If I have the A/C on, it stops blowing cool air and starts blowing warm humid air. The tachometer and speedometer stop functioning properly.

Those are the main issues. I've taken it to several shops and they haven't been able to come up with anything. I live 2+ hours from the nearest Acura dealership so I can't just swing in to see if they can diagnosis what's going on. I took it to our local Honda dealership and they were perplexed. Not sure where to go from here but any suggestions are welcome.

The VSA light coming on appears to be common, but reading through threads, I haven't really seen anyone discuss it shutting down other systems. The only reference to a problem similar to mine in the acurazine thread says that those systems are quite different from what the thread is referring.

Your symtoms are quite different from what this thread is referring. It sounds like your VSS is bad and possibly needs replacing. My suggestion would be to take the car to a reputable mechanic and have them diagnose your car.

to me; sounds like a voltage issue.
the components you described as turning off arent receiving the correct voltage, thus ceasing to work at that moment

has the windshield been changed? Sounds like an issue with the drivers fuse box. It's called the MICU and connects engine management with HVAC, VSA and other systems. I'd check for wetness there ASAP.

Sounds like you have power issues overall. Most likely culprits will be water getting to the computer or fuse block, a bad ground, or bad connections at the battery.
