Vent Visor Detached

Wondering if anyone can help...

I have the window vent visors on my TL. One of my friends got a little enthusiastic while listening to a song and slapped the visor. It unstuck from the door. The metal clips are still in place, but the visor is loose. It flaps and rattles. I tried double sided tape, but it didn't hold. Dealer wanted to charge me for a whole new set and installation!!!

What should I use to readhere it to the door? I'm thinking a paint-safe silicone adhesive (saw it at PepBoys). And it looks like what was on there in the first place.

Anyone know for sure?

Thanks for any help!

Did you notice any double sided tape left under the visor?

the tape is strong, like any double sided tape.. but unfortunately, once you rip it off, it never sticks the same again... i would say remove the visor compeltely, pick up some thin double sided tape, and try, try again
