Vanity Light Issue 06 TL

My vanity lights in my 06 TL do not come on. I took it into the shop last year and didn't notice for months that they were out. I never cared until recently I had a chic in the car who had no light to touch up with when she pulled down the visor! Save me from another social faux pas please. I checked all the interior fuses and none seem to be blown. I am however missing fuses 31 and 33 which are labeled as:

31) OP2
33) HAC OP

I have no idea what the aforementioned stands for thus I tried popping a 7.5 fuse into 31 and got nothing.

What could be the problem? Which fuse actually controls these lights? Could it be something else? Both lights are out so I doubt that both bulbs simultaneously died... And I know not of any way to toggle the vanity lights on/off.

The fuse for those bulbs is #6 in the interior fuse box (drivers side footwell). Just to double check.. she did open the sunvisor mirror right? Anyway, if so you might want to check out the bulbs. Be forewarned though.. they are a huge pain to change! You need to insert a flathead screwdriver into the slot on the side and somehow knock the clip out of the way (its above the metal lip). Anyway, once you get the assembly out its a simple swap out with a new bulb ($2-3 at autozone).

I'm 99% certain that I checked, and even replaced that fuse with a spare. I will try again. Ty for your response!

The fuse should be fine then. A good way to verify this is just turn on any interior light. If they light the fuse for the vanity is fine.

At this point I suggest just getting some new bulbs.

What kind of work did the shop do? Did it involve removing the passenger visor or the headliner? If so, they may not have reconnected the connector to the vanity lights.

Do the vanity lights on the driver's side work?

does the TL have a on/ off switch for the lights on the vanity?

I know my old honda did and they would not work if the switch was slid to the off position

The little plastic lens covers of the visor vanity lights will pop out is the insert a knife tip or really small screwdriver into the little slot at the top of the lens. Rather than try to pry it out, one pushes the knife into the slot, which depresses the retainer clip, and the lens pops right out.

My lights also do not come on. I bought new bulbs, but found it is apparently not the bulb. Is there a typical issue with the wiring, perhaps? And if the courtesy lights fuse was out, wouldn't the other courtesy lights not work?

Never mind

I just found out the visor lights only work when the headlights are on.

Maybe I'll not be so hasty to buy parts next time!
