Exclamation Under back seat leaking issue with rubber grommets

So i go on a total of 12 hour drive trip this weekend. Had 4 people in the car. A girl was in the back and said her ass was wet. It rained the entire 6 hours there and the whole way back. So i pull over half way there when she said something and took the rear seat out. Both of my rubber grommets(not sure how to spell it) on the passenger side under the seat had been leaking water through them! WTF!!!?? the only thing i knew to do was to dry it off and bought expansion foam and sprayed them. But the seat is still just soaked, all of that side. We have to get on the road so i put a trash bag over the seat so she wouldnt get wet and no more water could get in the seat. the expansion foam helped A LOT but it still leaks Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone have a good solution? Both grommets are in good shape, look perfect. The one that leaks the most is the one that has the wire running through it, and the water is coming through that hole. The other one water is seaping through the edge of it. ???????????

Wow, I've never heard this problem before. I'd take it to a dealer and see if you can get it covered under warranty?

First time I have heard of this too! And I know exactly which grommets you are referring to because that's the route I used to get pass the wires through for my puddle lights. Just make sure they are sealed up well.

I drilled a whole through them and sealed them with silicone and duct tape.....this thread has me wanting to check mine to see if they're not leaking!

Isn't there a TSB for this? I remember reading on here somewhere about a grommet under the backseat that can leak.

Maybe this is what you are looking for?

Thumbs up

Awesome. Thanks guys. Yea I would definately check yalls. I went ahead earlier today and grabbed silicone out of the garage and siliconed it up! Lol this isn't bad hell it's an easy fix just a pain in the ass. Got my rear seat in my game room with 2 fans on it to drie it all out. Even though it will probably take 2 days to dry. But I could definately tell in that picture that that was the spot. Appreciate everyone
