Recently I’ve been having this strange symptom with the car where if say I’m cruising and then I brake and slow the car down and then get back on the gas the car kind of jerks into gear. I wouldn’t say it’s a real hard slam but noticeable enough jerk that I didn’t feel before. This issue is intermittent and also another strange thing is it started happening after I replaced my rear engine mount. Not sure if it’s just coincidence. Is my tranny on its way out?

 

I wonder if the trans mounts are worn out causing excessive movement that the bad mount was masking/allowing flex. With the new rear mount, engine/trans is positioned differently causing issues with other worn mounts.

 

Well shortly after changing the rear mount I also changed the upper trans mount. Only mount left is lower trans mount but I hear they don’t really go bad.
