05 TL. I have trouble starting it. First started happening when I would fill up the gas tank. I thought it was bad gas tried different stations and it was better but over the last week anytime i drive the car short distances or if its off for awhile it does the same thing. Acts like the battery is dead but after a few turns and pumping the peddle it works. The clock resets at 100 but then goes back to normal time once the navigation turns on. I tried fuel injector cleaner thinking maybe the fuel wasnt getting there and nothing. Could this be a Fuel Filter, Pump, maybe the battery?

 

I'd check the battery and battery connections first, but bet on the battery needing replacement if it's the OEM battery.

 

I check the battery cleaned the terminals. I have 86k miles. Should i tune it up?

 

How did you check the battery?

How did you clean the terminals? Did you loosen and remove the cables from the battery terminals, clean the terminals and cable clamps, and then re-tighten?

 

i suspect a faulty battery.
