Transmission Flare or not.

So, First of all, I have a 2007 Accord V6 124k and drove 2 Acura TLs. One was a 2004 with 100k miles and literally on a new rebuilt transmission and the other was a 2006 with 130k original transmission.

The issue: Driving my Accord, the shifts are soft. They do not lock the shift like the TLs do. I am worried that I might have transmission flare. I changed the transmission fluid 10 times. First 4 times were on DW-1 and it seemed to go away then came back. Next 4 times were on Redline D4. 100 times better than DW-1 but the soft shifts are still there. I changed the transmission filter and checked the screens at the top of the tranny which were clear. The filter was restricted and after I changed that, I noticed smoother operation. My main issue lies between 1-2 shift. Sometimes it is super soft like it not so much slips because my tranny has never slipped but smooth into 2nd with slight flare. 3rd and 4th pressure switches have been changed too. Then some days, if shifts perfect. I do notice a load sometimes on my car that takes energy but I have no clew about that either. The steering wheel is super stiff sometimes when backing out. And I plan to change the transmission mounts this Friday because there is play when I stomp on the gas.

When Driving the 2004 TL the clutches grab quick then in the next gear. My 1-2 grab let go grab let go grab let go. sometimes 2-3 too. The 2006 TL grabs 1-2 with slight 50-100rpm flare after 1-2 but drives like new.

I feel like giving up on my Accord. I love it to death and Acura TLs but this shifting issue is annoying me crazy. Its been going on for months now.

Please help me someone!!!!

Would you know if 1.5 redline d4 and 1.5 redline racing fluid would crisp the shifts some because the 1-2 shift feels floaty even though it is hard to tell on video?

It's hard to say, but if your current fluid condition is so bad where it's doing that, then any new fluid should fix it. Basically, what I mean is the redline fluid shouldn't be the only solution to your problem. It should be shifting fine with OEM fluid too.

Going with the redline fluids won't hurt though.

Right now, I am currently on redline d4 majority. I touched some of it and it is super slippery. Very red. I last changed it 6000 miles ago and I really just want that crispness. And the reason I changed out the dw1 because coming to a stoplight then accelerating, it would bang from 3rd to 2nd or I should say catch roughly. The redline has helped with that a whole lot. And also that dw-1 was just too thin that I could feel the drivetrain.
