So the P1717 code returned again this morning. I've had this code once before some months back. This is the first time it's returned . I did clear the code this morning and it has not returned. Check my battery voltage, doesn't seem low at about 13.8 while engine is running. I'm assuming the range selector switch needs to be replaced at this point. I've never had to replace the range selector before. I am mechanically inclined. How hard is this to replace. The car is a 2007 Base TL with about 125 thousand and change. All maintenance is up to date. And again, as always thanks in advance for any replies on this challenge .

I replaced this a while back. Not difficult. I had a different code though. I could not find your code in my service manual but mine is 2005.
