Pull the plugs and let the water evaporate. All you can do it hope you don't have one or more bent rods. Do a compression test to check.

I assume your running a CAI. Maybe your lucky and your filter is just plugged up with mud made from the water and the dirt that was on it.

If a CIA how long since the filter was cleaned? Is it just the RMP issue or is it making any noises?

I find your post really hard to read and understand. Did you drive the car any distance after it happened?

What do you mean you couldn't avoid it??

Whatever you do.. don't take it to Acura with your CAI installed. Take the coil & plugs off in a dry and covered place.. a little water wont hurt.. too much and you're looking at some major damage.

Wait, you have the stock (unmodified) intake on your car? Do you know how the piping runs on the stock intake? I find it hard to believe you got water in there.

I actually think thats the case too, cuz if water would off gotten up, it would stay in the airbox and not go threw the filter, lol then idk what was wrong with the car. But it's not having the same prob as yesterday. So ya everything worked out good.

the stock intake has the same design as cold air intakes. i dont see why its so hard to understand that if you submerge the tubing in water, you will suck up water, regardless if its a CAI or stock. the only chance you have with the stock is the filter, which is not high flowing

to do that with a stock TL u would have to submerge the TL up to its hood opening

not really...going through a 8" puddle will do it. the stock ride height for a tl is 5.8" i think. doesnt matter what intake you have, ur fucked

are you sure the RPM's are flucuating because of VSA? With drive by wire, when the VSA system activates, it also reduces power through the accelerator...

Not sure we're talking about the same thing, maybe I'm wrong here. But, the intake for the stock system is up by the battery in the engine bay, facing upwards. Plus, there is a drain hole in the lowest part of the stock piping. Then you have the resonator to get through. Not sure how water would get to the engine through the stock system without completely submerging it. What am I missing?

you are absolutely right ! i dont think he really knows how the stock intake looks like. the inlet starts in front of the battery pretty much and has a roof like covering on top which is obviously not sealed but just to stop anything bigger falling into it...

I wouldn't get you hopes up. Chances are you hurt something like a bent rod or if you're lucky a blown headgasket.

Do a compression check before the thing puts a rod through the block.

I'm pretty sure greco knows what the stock intake looks like  That's why I questioned if we were talking about the same thing.

Cool

I would at least check the dipstick for any sign of water. If you see anything (droplets of water or thin oil) do an oil change with filter. Your dipstick should tell you the story!
