Stripped Brembos

What's up guys, so i've read various threads like these. But i want to know if anyone actually had good luck with heli coiling stripped brembos? I already replaced my calipers *womp womp wommpp*. but i want to keep them for later on, who knows. or maybe someone wants to buy them and repair them themselves?

Any ideas?

I would Helicoil it and call it good. When done properly, a helicoil is stronger than the aluminum it is set in.

That makes me happy to hear, just stripped one hole on both of my brembos two days ago. Planning on taking them to a machine shop for the helicoil.

I got my helicoiled calipers back and put them on yesterday. They held up to the 125 lbs of torque and some heavy braking afterwards. Helicoils get my vote.

Scrap metal?
Shop Decoration? Hanging it on the wall with a rotor in it would be pretty cool.
