Starting issue!

Hey everyone!

would like to get some help finding out the problem recently came up (please see video). It never happens in the morning, only after I get to work or wherever and let it sit for a couple hours.

I was thinking it might be starter, ignition switch, or fuel pump/fuel injector. But didn't want to start just start buying stuff and hoping that would be the cause

I can't see the video, but I've have had intermittent starting issues with my TL and been ruling out issues slowly. Only recommendation is to try and pinpoint the issue.

My starter was tested first and that was good. Then, I checked all fuses and relays and confirmed those were good. I hear the fuel pump prime when the key turns, so I believe that is OK. I got on the internet and searched my issue and it's gotten me to check the transmission range switch as potentially failing. That's next on the list to change (already have the part).

Hope you figure it out!

Have you checked the + battery cable? At this age, it could easily be corroded internally where you can't see an unable to carry enough juice to turn the starter.

Agreed for negative as well. I believe I checked my ground cable, but did not think about the positive cable.

The + cable is the one that carries the juice to the starter and the rest of the car! DUH............
