Sport Shift Not Working: 07 TL Type-S 5AT
Hi everyone! I've been an Acura owner for 8 years now and am currently looking to pick up an 07 Acura TL Type-S w/ 120k for $8.6k. The body is immaculate and the car runs good aside from the Sport Shift feature. When test driving it, I couldn't get the car into sport shift mode. You could put the shifter into that mode, but would be unae totchange gears (paddles and shifter didnt work) and the gear number would not appear on the dash. I havent found any similar problems on Acurazine, Youtube, or on Google.
Has anyone had a similar issue? If so, how did you fix it?
Going to be upgrading from a 02 TL Type-S and am loving the 3G TL so far!

Not to be ignorant but you did slap the shifter into manual mode correct? Once it's in drive you push to the left.
I would start by looking at your fuse panel. Identify any related to the trans or similar systems and check them.
If the problem persists, you will need use a diagnostic tool for fault codes.

Yup, had it in the correct mode and no problem! Haha, that's an important question. The car is at a used car dealership and the seller has offered me a discount for the problem. (still negotiating on $$). Might go with it if the fix is as simple as a fuse!
