Talking Spare Fuse in 2004 TL?

I'm pretty sure I have a blown fuse - windshield wiper motor, external mirrors, and seat memory settings don't work. Anybody know if/where the spare fuse is in the fuse box?

Thanks!

Thanks. I don't see any marked Spare. I have the owner's manual - I also thought it would tell you, but it doesn't say where the spare is. Maybe I can just call the dealer.

dont expect the service writer to know-a tech might have a clue,
why dont you go to the parts store and buy a pack of fuses for 2$ and have a couple of spares

Dont use the wipers as ice scrapers- that would pop a fuse on other cars when I worked at the dealer

they're in the fusebox under the hood, where your fuse puller is located.... look in the lid for that fuse box and it'll tell you which ones are spares.

reds22 - Did you mean the washers or the wipers don't work? Because with everything else you said that doesn't work, I think you have the problem that we see in a lot 04/05s, though each year (winter) we see less and less...

Applies To: 2004 TL – ALL
2005 TL – From VIN 19UUA6...5A000001 thru 19UUA6...5A052086
Power Mirrors, Auto Dimming Mirror, Power Seat Position Memory, and
Windshield Washer Do Not Work
(Supersedes 05-033, dated September 16, 2005, to update the information indicated by the black bar)

SYMPTOM
The power mirrors, the inside auto dimming mirror, the
power seat position memory, and the windshield
washer do not work.

PROBABLE CAUSE
If plain water or an improper windshield washer fluid
mixture is used in the windshield washer reservoir, it
can freeze in cold weather. This can cause the
windshield washer motor to temporarily overload and
blow fuse No. 20 in the under-dash fuse/relay box.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the No. 20 fuse with a 10A fuse, and apply an
updated fuse box lid label.

So basically you don'y want to replace it with the 7.5A it was supposed to have, it needs to have a 10A in it. You're more then welcome to do it yourself. pbcmedia is correct on the location of the spares. Or just take it in, we still warranty them even if it's out of mileage/year since it's a cheap part, easy fix, and a convenience issue for the customer

Thumbs up Great heads up on the AcuraTech!

I had the same problem and had replaced with a 7.5 amp, only to have it blow again. That 10a cheat is a great tip! Many thanks!

I'm having this issue as well. I'm gonna try the 10 amp fuse.
