Sound from timing belt area, any ideas?

Hello, im having this sound every once in a while the car is 2005tl base, and it has 73000 miles on it, it comes from the timing belt area and it is a weeeeeeeeeeeee sound, i was thinking in changing the whole time belt, water pump, etc, etc.

but wanted to know first if it might be something else.

the sound comes from this area, the top pulley thingy.

Thank you for your help.

Have you checked the serpentine belt and/or tensioner pulley?
You can always remove the serpentine belt and start the engine for a few seconds to check and also check the pulleys for any unusual sound.

wait a minute, that sounds like power steering issues. Check the PS fluid level.

Also, there is a TSB for an O-ring replacement and a recall for the PS hose.

Lots of threads on these two items. Do a search and you'll find them.
